Hello friends got the PPR request last week... Thanks for all the support and help. If any one has submitted the passport in Bangalore vfs can guide me about the submission of passports there...

Carry a printout of the PPR email, along with passports, and another form of ID (say Aadhar card). If you want SMS and email service to keep you updated on the processing, there is an extra charge, so carry some cash with you. I would advise you to take the option. It's a very simple process, don't worry. The person there will tell you it may take up to 28 days for you to get the passport, but it will actually only take 8-10 days. If you are later collecting the passports of dependents over the age of 18, you will need an authorization letter from them, as well as a copy of another ID of theirs (apart from passport copy), both of which are self-attested by the respective passport holders. Again, Aadhar card will work for this.
Cheers!!!

Any MR news???????????????????????

If your eyes are actually black, don't worry about it. If it makes you feel better, get yourself photographed again.

another dry month (in terms of MR) is going to wrap up........ and another dry month is going to start......#negativethought.

When did you get passport request?

One general question... I guess it takes couple of months from the MR completion to receive PPR. What does the VO do during these months, background checks ?
I completed my medicals back in may-2015 but my wife's were done in feb-2016. Not sure how long need to wait for PPR. Also not sure what would be the validity of my visa since I completed my meds last may, can someone please advise ?

Your medical validity will be counted from your spouse medical done date. So technically your visa will be valid until Feb 2017.. After meds done, they usually do security checks which could take time depending on countries visited...your stays in different countries since 18.. The more your travels and stays.. The longer it takes for Security to complete.
I am sure your PPR isn't too far.. Happy waiting!!!

Go ahead and submit all the passports included in your app.

They have mentioned passports and not passport.

Your medical will be valid till May-2016. Meds are valid for one year so yours will expire in May-16 and so will be all the visa validity in the application.
