I am planning to move to edmonton on 25th Jan..... BTW i got a transfer from my company to the branch in canada. SO they asked me to provide the SIN number...SO the question is when do we get our SIN?

DO we get this at the airport while landing? I heard so.....Please help me

Congrats bro on your job, After landing in Airport only you will get SIN number. Can you please let us know if any positions are left in your organization for 2172 please...

@ Al_Safaniyah123: No DM in ecas, it's still in progress.

@ mehtab_kaka: No interview for me, and 1 furtherance for my spouse. The furtherance tests were cleared on 17-Aug-2015 and TLU was on 14-Oct-2015. So it took more than 7 months after 1st meds and more than 4 months after final medicals for PPR.

@ shettyss: I'm sure you'll receive PPR soon

Hi...you wont get the SIN number at the airport. You will need to go to a Service Canada centre which are available in most of the cities across Canada. It took us about 30 mins to get a SIN number generated. Be careful and do not disclose your SIN to anyone else apart from your employer

It depends what time you land.
There are people from Service Canada at Airport during regular business hours (9-5 weekdays).
If you manage to land within this time, you will get it during your immigration process.
Otherwise you can find the nearest Service Canada office from where you are going to stay.
Be there before 9AM and you will have the SIN by 9:15AM.

You can tell your company that you will provide them a SIN as soon as you land and get one.

There is no provision for photos in VFS delhi
I got my passport back in just 3days, please carry a authorisation letter while collecting the passport back
