Hi Forumites, need some light on my GCMS notes received on 11-Dec (my timeline is on the left):

Application Assignment
Assigned To: WARSAW
Assigned By: C****3
Due Date: 2015/09/30

This means my application's due date has already passed. However I have not received PPR till now.

Also, in the notes, last updated date reflects as 2015/09/01. There has been no update since!!! What could be the reason?

Hi...

I was also in same situation. My passport had expired at the stage of MR. And they had also requested my wife's UK PCC. So I got my passport renewed and got the PCC and sent them an email with scanned copies of documents I was sending and also couriered the documents to them. Had sent Notarized copies all pages of passport and original PCC.

The process was smooth and no other documents they requested. They issue visa for 1 year after medical dates so the passport has to be valid till then.

I have done my landing in Canada successfully with no issues.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
A

Hi Guys,

Good news to share today. Today I got the golden email from warsaw office stating that I have to send my passport for stamping. The email also said the following:

"We are unable to issue a visa beyond the expiry date in your passport. You passport must be valid for at least six months."

My passport expires in Jun of 2016. Although it meets the requirement that the email had, I was wondering If I can renew my passport and then send it to them? I applied for FSW PR last Decemeber and it took them exactly one year to send me this email. Any suggestion?

Hi Amaranna !

Congratulations for your successful landing !

Which city you have landed and how is job market over there for HR ..?

As I am also from same NOC.. !

Hi

I landed in Vancouver. The job market is not bad for HR professionals but yes be prepared for some slogging in the initial few months. If you are lucky, you can get a decent job in the beginning. They do have preference of Canada work experience and Canadian nationals over PRs.

Toronto is a better place for jobs but I chose Vancouver for personal reasons as I have relatives there and weather is one of the best in Canada. Vancouver is quite expensive as well...but family support is very important in a new country.

All the best and hope you get your PR soon.

PPR mail comes from the same email from which you receive earlier communications such as MR request and additional document requests. In my case I received from wsawimmigration@international.gc.CA

b. There is only one email for PPR. In my case for my family of 4 I received a single mail stating " to finalize your application for permanent residence to Canada, we require you to submit the following documents:
1. Passports for entire family members in the application.
2. Photographs with required specifications

To the nearest visa application center.

I hope this suffices.

However, although my TLU showed up on ecas on 14-Oct-2015 but my medicals were cleared on 18-Aug-2015 as per the GCMS notes which is prior to the due date of 30-Sep-2015. Feeling hopeless now :-\

Hi all,
I want to discuss the issues relating to hand written passport.
If anyone has any information please share regarding my below queries.

1. Is Canada embassy issuing PR visas on the hand written passport?
2. If they are issuing, has anyone faced any issue at the immigration at the airport with visa on hand written passports?

I will be grateful if someone can share information regarding above matter.
just to update, I submitted my hand written passport and the visa stamping done on that.

You won't be allowed to board an aircraft with such passport. These are ICAO rules, CIC could not care less.

Any updates on PPR this week from Warsaw?
