The only issue while applying for her visitor visa right now is that the embassy officials are apprehensive if your friend's mom may not come back and hence become a burden on Canadian economy. As they are aware that the son is going as an Immigrant and eventually will settle there.

Having a valid US multiple visa on the passport makes it much easier to get the Canadian visitor visa as Canadian Border services share their data with US homeland security and once the US visa is stamped on a passport it is a kind of US certification , which facilitates Canadian visa .

I suggest that your friend should reach Canada first and after couple of months his mom can apply for visitor visa. Once she travels to Canada few times on visitor visa, then you should apply for Super visa.

Lastly , if your friend wants to take his mom along now, he can take a chance to apply her visitor visa but I am quite sure the high commission will not give a long stay if at all they issue a visa .

Dear Rendezvous70,

Thanks for your opinion +1 for that.

Best Wishes.

Thanks Shivang,

I have similar Time line like you

MR 14 July
Medical on 27 July
Result Uploaded 1 Aug
No TLU Shown as on.
No DM

What is your visa office Warsaw or NDVO ?

Have you raised any CSE to Warsaw?

Seems WVO has forgot the applicants who completed medicals in month of july last week and August. :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

Today I saw my application status changed to "Decision Made". However my question is how long it usually takes to determine the status (whatever it may be). Or how long it takes the invitation letter (in case the result is approved) to arrive? Can anyone throw some light on this?

Forumites, all those who have got their PPR/DM and the others waiting for it and planning to land in Canada in Oct end of Nov, would like to share a discussion with one of an established entreprenuer I had last night. Also, I would like to share the experiences of couple of my friends migrated in last couple of months.

He narrated.
Quote "October sees the commencement of chills in Canada and the stretchs are long and goes extreme chilling over a period of time. To the contrary of a normal belief, the job market sees a slowdown and fresh immigrants are at times finding it difficult to survive and to struggle. "Unquote.

He further informed that once you land in Canada, be determined and sure enough with one belief......." WHATEVER IT IS I M NOT GOING BACK".
He explained that majority of the people who loose the struggel and return back to their home country are not able to hold on the above commitment and hence need to carve this in our minds very well. Further, forget all your excellent performances ourtside ,whether it is educational or professional, they are not bothered about it they only need your talent established in Canada, whether you prove it or they see it, and this can be aided with professional qualifications added over there.

Toronto is the primary landing destination of majority of migrants, the main issue over there is getting a rented house, the higher you go in an appartment the costlier it is. One of my friend rented a basement appartment for 900 CAD, the issue is, at present it is like summer over there and hence the upper floors need AC while she being in the basement has to live in chilling condition as it is already cool in the basement + the AC.

Would keep on posting any other updates if available and would request others to share as well.

Congratulations on being one step forward.
Be ready for wait of 20 to 25 more days, it generally does not take that much time (ppr came same day in some of the cases) but you need to be ready to wait for that long. I got DM on 14th August and still waiting for PPR.

Chirag bhai,

The cic website states that they will take approx 3 months from the day they receive the medical files from the hospital/medical practitioner provided all documents that they had asked for have been received by them.

This means that if further documents have been sent after TLU, it might take more time.

I hope this was helpful

Thanks HarrySandhu22.

Yes, it now clear. Does it mean that I need to wait atleast until 29-Sep as my final docs reached WVO on 29-Jun, before I hear anything on DM/PPR from them ? Or will it be even longer than 29-Sep ?
