My passport expires 20th March 2016
Hence I went ahead and applied for renewal of passport. Firstly hope I get my new passport well within the ppr timelines. Just wanted to know if a renewed passport at this stage will create a hindrance in the process? Once I receive the PPR, Planning to send the old and new passport along with a covering letter with reasons for renewal which ideally WVO I presume should already notify me during the PPR mail. Any other suggestions would really help.

Also a big congratulations to all who have moved up the many stages and now have your visa. All the best to all awaiting MR/TLU/DM/PPR/ETC

I don't know whether or not they received my medicals Though I have sent them the same already more than 6 times (1 in Hard Copy, and 5 in Soft Copies...)

I know it sounds like a lecture when someone who have already received PPR ask others to be patient and say wait ,you will get it but I can tell everyone who is waiting for PPR ,I might have got PPR after guys who have sent their applications after me but was never so desperate for it .

I swear even if they reject now after taking my passport ,I will accept it and move forward .Please stop acting like a child 'saying CIC should send me rejection letter and I will leave in peace' ,Just consider you got a rejection and leave at Peace .

Brothers ,Canada is not 'your' life ,Its just a 'part' of life ,Don't be so damn into it ,You have a wonderful world around ,You have a family ,you have so much to do .Anyway first of all for those people received Medicals ,No matter if your app date is October or July(else you might have got rejection already,when the news comes is dangerous or Happy but no news is always positive) ,you will receive a PPR 99% ,if you are so pessimistic that you still think about 1% ,then I cant help you ,only God Can ,so be positive and start building some faith in God.

Also for people who's consultant is saying not to raise CSE ,please show a middle finger to your lawyer and straight away raise it ,I have raised 6 Case Specific Enquiries and 10 emails to warsaw during my application (and sometimes I felt it helped) ,Not saying Spam them because many a times I raised for valid reasons also but raising a CSE once or twice is of no harm ,I can guarantee that ,it never delays your application but sometimes can work in reverse manner .

Oh Man ,I love this forum so much ,I dont talk much but love watching people helping each other without any personal interest ,feeling for each other ,rarely this kind of place exist in the present real world ,so guys I request you again ,please wait and don't be desperate it will make things difficult for you ,concentrate on your work ,family and the wonderful world around ,go shopping ,take your gf or wife on a romantic drive and enjoy this lovely forum as well .

Welcome to the Forum first of all...
My Medical Request arrived on 9th May, and Passport was expiring on 18th November, roughly 6 months after the email... Though I got my passport renewed just a few days before the Medical Request was sent and along with the medical results, I also informed them via email, and also via hard copies of documents required with a cover letter (and email text) that the passport was expiring soon and hence I got it renewed. The expired passport is stamped CANCELLED by the authorities that issue you your new passport, and hence, sending it makes no sense, whenever your PPR arrives...
But do carry it with you at the time of submission and etc etc.

They uploaded the information from my new passport with in 10 days of the reception of the email and with in 3 days of receiving my documents in hard copy... but since then, the process has stalled... and I somehow have this doubt that this delay (more than 3 and half months) is because of the changes made in the documents...

If possible, get your old passport stamped and get done with it, and then get the new passport issued, if not, then take you chance... my theory can be incorrect too...

I got married during processing of my file, which i updated (Marriage certificate) and my wife's medical was done with me. Now this mail....

Dear Applicant ,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
This is to confirm the receipt of documents for your spouse and medical results for both of you, however in order to continue the processing of your application, you are asked to submit:

- all documents that can prove your relationship with your
spouse:
- photos taken on various occasions, not only wedding or honeymoon
photos,
-join bank account, join ownership of possessions etc.
- 4 passport sized photos for her,
- height and eye colour for your spouse,

Upon the receipt of the above listed documents, your application will be
passed to responsible Officer for review.

Please note that the above listed documents should be sent to Warsaw not/not to New Delhi

what else i can provide for documents ?

A friend of mine faced the same problem too...

Get opened a new bank account (Joint) or If you have the registry of a property co-owned by you two... then it will also do...
If not, then after the account gets opened, transfer your funds in to it...
Make sure that you send 2 pictures each from 6 different occasions (wedding, honeymoon, some social gathering, some outing etc.)
The above you must send along with the marriage certificate, and other proofs if possible...
Also, send those pictures and narrate the height and eye color etc too.

No big deal... You will soon get done with it...

Thank you Vishal. My passport renrewal is already underway and hence old passport already cancelled. So the option of getting old one stamped is not possible now. However guess will upfront send my new passport details if i get the passport before the ppr. Thank you again and i will keep all posted.

Hi you can give the documents as asked by the cic. As it is good to open a joint bank account to give the proof i will suggest you to do the same. And please send them all the invitation card of your marriage from your as well as your wife side. Get the receipt of the place like hotel or marriage hall where you had the functions.
