Ek case ye meraa bhi hai...

I got the MR on 9th May, 2015...
Got the Medicals done on 14th May, Paid the RPRF on 14th May, and emailed the scanned copies of passport (but forgot to include the e-medical receipt in the first email) (Also, my passport was expiring in November, so I got it renewed, and updated them regarding the new passport with its scanned copies by sending to zip files, one old passport, and the other named 'Current Passport') on 14th May only.

Then I realized that I didn't send them the e-medical receipt, and hence, sent them another email, with the e-medical receipt included this time, and also the hard copies of the above on 19th May. The hard copies reached them on 26th May 2015.

Since then, there was no further update, and no Third Line Update... So I finally raised a CSE on 12th August 2015, which was replied the next day, and they informed me that they've received all my documents, and will contact me in due time.

2 days after that, I got this message as my THIRD LINE UPDATE

We sent you medical instructions on May 9, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

In reply, I emailed them once again the same set of documents (including RPRF, e-Medical Receipt and the scanned copies of Current Passport).
I got an email next day that they have received all my documents, and they will contact me in due time.


What do they do mean by this 'due time' ? ;D ;D ;D Ain't it already due ?

It is Ontario...

Quebec and Vancouver aren't that in to IT...
Calgary etc are more in to Oil and Gas if I am not wrong...

Just land there, and try making some contacts with those who have landed and excelled after landing there, in your area of operation... Best Wishes...

Crazy Warsaw office people, I raised CSE to three offices in order to submit my passport for visa stamping. I am currently living in Saudi Arabia and wanted my pp to be stamped from here. Riyadh office replied me that I can submit it, NDVO is still sleeping, no response from there side. Just now Warsaw replied to submit it to New delhi office even after letting them know that I am Saudi and can't go to India due to work issues. Anyways I am submitting my pp to Riyadh office tomorrow as a same case happened to one of my friend. He directly submitted to RVO even though Warsaw replied in negative and got his pp stamped and received COPR as well. I think there are other guys as well. If so please let me know the status of the passports.

Health is a provincial matter. It is NOT FEDERAL. Thus, if you change provinces, u'll have to AGAIN get that province's Health Card. And again the waiting period* shall apply. Off course, a previous province's health card remains valid for few days/months in another province, but not all benefits could be availed.

*The Waiting Period:
As I know, Alberta [eg. Calgary, Edmonton etc] & Manitoba [eg. Winnipeg] are the Only provinces where there is NO WAITING period for the Health Insurance. Rest in all provinces there is some waiting time to get the Health Benifits. In Ontario [eg. Toronto, Ottawa etc.] it is 3 months.

Eg.: If Calgary Is My Destination Should I Get The H/Card In Toronto?
If Calgary is your Final Destination, but you are 'initially' landing in Toronto for a few days stay [Permitted action], I suggest you should first land in Calgary [get the health card] and then visit Toronto. Why? Mainly 'coz, you can get the Calgary health card immediately, but in Toronto you'll not. That Calgary health card will be valid in Toronto for a few days. Not the vice-versa. Secondly, if you land first in Toronto, you'll be staying w/out any health coverage.

Temp. Health Coverage:
It's wise to obtain a 'temporary' health coverage before you fly. Off course not required if you are going to Alberta or Manitoba. That temp. coverage shall come in the way of "Travel Insurance", which you can obtain from ANY insurance company in your homeland. The costs depands on the length of coverage. Usually we should take it for 3-4 months, as that is the waiting time in all provinces.

NOTE: It'll be a good idea to obtain the Travel Insurance from home country. For 2 reasons: [1] You are covered from day-1 even before landing. [2] In Canada it will be costlier & you'll be covered only from the day you apply. What if you get to do it later, as you'll be busy in the initial days? What if something goes wrong in between?

I have following few points to make -

1. If you take a health insurance/travel insurance from India and if there is a claim, how will you manage perusing the same in India?? It will be easy to settle a claim in Canada than in India.

2. You can also take health insurance/travel insurance online from a company in Canada, like Bluecross (https://travelweb.pac.bluecross.ca/travelweb/default.aspx) or Punjab Insurance (http://www.punjabinsurance.ca/). Please make your own queries from relatives/friends settled in Canada to find out the best.

3. Be very clear/sure of what Insurance you take in India. No offence to Insurance ppl but I had a very bad experience with Religare as I took a travel insurance for my parents and as usual their representatives told that there will be no issues. My mom who is a diabetic (this was declared to the company representatives) suffered a heart attack in Canada and now the company has rejected our claim.
