As per the details available at the CIC website, the normal period of 3 months starts from the date when the medical results are received by them.

The exact words are -


For permanent resident applications, it normally takes three months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Panel Physician before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).

Although there was a change in family composition with birth of a baby girl which was informed to the Visa office, I received MR for my new born baby on 28th July, 2015. I got her medical done on 1st Aug, 2015 and as per the information from the Max healthcare the reports were uploaded on 3rd Aug, 2015.

Please advise from which date should I consider My TLU is that 23rd May or from the date when my daughter reports were uploaded. Please suggest , wait is killing now.

Is VFS taking more time than usual ? when do we get our stamped passports back ? it has benn already a week and the status still says, they are being proccessed in new delhi.

did anyone receive their passports back recently ? how long did it take ?

You submitted on 13th. Passport reached new delhi on 14th may be. Now, 15th,16th,22nd and 23rd were day off. So, effectively, today was 7th day. Official time frame is 7 to 10 working days.

So please wait. You will get within one or two days.

I wanted to know if anyone has so far come across a case whose DM/PPR has been rejected or put into jeopardy after TLU and after submission of PCC & payment of RPRF fees. Surely, they can deny the entry at any point, however atleast we can have some confirmation and relief to the fact that everyone who gets TLU will for sure get DM/PPR.

Can someone confirm please...

Recently someone got PPR after 20 days of DM. So you will get PPR soon. If you think its taking too much, you may raise cse.

I do not think VO will directly reject any application without giving opportunity to the applicant to explain him/herself.

Background check being before or after MR depends upon working style of particular VO. We have seen in past that December applicants getting visa before Sept-Oct applicants. At that point, we also has same frustration. But eventually, everything will fall in its place.

I have seen one or two instances where files from Warsaw were again transferred to ndvo for final decision. So we can never predict cic's policies and logic.

I know how it feels to live in uncertainty but all you can do is wait and have faith in God.
