Hi bluestone,

Below are my timelines. I still have not heard anything on DM/PPR. I had sent my docs as a hard copy and so lately I also raised a CSE and WVO confirmed that they have received all my documents and that they will contact me in due time.

Application filed : 13-Nov-14
PER : 04-Feb-15
AOR : 26-Feb-15
SLU : 22-Apr-15
MR req : 15-May-15
MR completed : 29-May-15
TLU : 06-Jun-15
PCC/RPRF/Passport copies submitted : 29-Jun-15
DM/PPR : awaited

Also, I had change in my passports and my kids' passports and I have udpated it with a cover letter at the time of submitting the hard copies of my documents.

Normally will they issue me the PPR or is it all a game of luck ?? Please advise...

Hi Chirag,

Not sure about luck. But speed of processing depends to some extent upon complexity of the file and number of dependents.

Bring Forward Date may also affect the overall processing. Suppose bring forward date of your file is 1st August, Visa Officer will open your file for review. If required documents/details are received and available, VO fill go for further steps and if required documents/details are not received, VO will allot further Bring Forward Date and close the file till next bring forward date. So, till next date, no update is made to file.

I do not know logic and extent of time span between two dates.

This is as per my understanding of process. It may be different.

So wait for your turn. Everything will be fine.

Not sure about time it will take.

Once you provide them information about your marriage, VO will have to consider your spouse's Medicals, PCC, Background Checks, Genuinity of Marriage etc., IMHO.

So time may vary.

Hello friends

I have been asked India PCC and USA PCC FBI clearance(if applicable) on May 9.

I had a Masters degree from US university (by distance education). i have never travelled to US. Looks like WVO officer is waiting for my US PCC which i cannot obtain. Already raised CSE, but there is no reply from WVO.

Please suggest how to communicate to WVO about this issue.

My timeline below

App Received: 5 Dec 2014, NOC 2241
PER : 26 Feb 2015
MR: 9 May 2015
TLU: 26 May 2015
PCC, RPRF received at WVO: 1 June 2015

Why were you waiting will mid August, my friend?

You may send email to wvo. Just go through last 5-10 pages. Someone from this forum had done so and WVO did not reply to CSE but replied to email.

Dear bluestone,

Thanks for the response,

So could u advise, which is the better option , should I complete the landing formalities ( as still I am bachelor ) and then sponser spouse or should I wait to get married first and then inform cic regrading my updated maritial status ?

I do not know, bro, really.

It is mentioned in PPR mail that vo should be informed about:

"Change in marital status, for example due to marriage, divorce, annulment or death"

Now, as you have already received PPR, you have got 30 days to submit the passport. As you said, in "upcoming months", you are going to get married. Technically, there is no change in marital status till you actually get married. So there is no meaning in informing right now.

Talking about future,

Even in an information sheet that comes with Visa, it is mentioned that if your marital status is changed after issuance of visa and before leaving Canada, you have to inform VO AND Return Back your Visa. If you fail to do so, you will NEVER be able to sponsor that unexamined family member. Now this is a serious consequence.

Solution as per my opinion:

Option 1: If you are getting married in a month or two, you may write an email or raise CSE regarding the same so that PPR could be kept on hold for couple of months, I guess. Meanwhile, you may execute Court Marriage.

Option 2: Let everything be as it is. Get the visa. Land in Canada. Get PR Card. Then after some months, come to India for marriage and Sponsor your wife. It takes 6 months or so, I guess, in the process. This is safer option. VO never asks for information of Fiancee.

Now choice is yours. Remember, I am not an immigration lawyer. So, I highly recommend you discuss this with your consultant or a good immigration lawyer.

Hey Itsme72...you are from Hyderabad if I am not wrong? Which place are you landing? I am landing in Toronto...mostly in between Oct 8-10.

Hello Friends,

Another day got over ... The agonising wait doesnt seem to end .. Our medicals were done on 30th July, Courier of rprf, pcc was recd on 14th August.
No TLU and No intimation from WVO yet

We checked from the hospital but they are saying that no mail has come from VO yet. Unsure if we should raise a CSE query as its abt 20 days now from the date of medicals?
