2. A general description of the applicants like Name, Passport number (the exact instructions will be included in the email) on separate paper
3. 2 RECENT photographs with one of them mentioning the address of Photo studio and the date it was taken

Hello all,

I think some members have confusion about where to submit passports. Let me explain.
> Most of the ppl who applied from India had selected NDVO in their application.
> However due to load and other stuff, a lot of applications were routed to Warsaw/Columbo. In my case, to Vienna.
> Irrespective of what your VISA office is, if you are in India, you can get the stamping done at NDVO. This is because Indian regulations do not allow passports to be sent across borders through courier or post. In case your Visa office is not NDVO, you can raise a request and get a permission to submit at NDVO.
> If you are currently not in India, you can identify the nearest VO to you, and do the same.

For example: I applied for NDVO. My file went to Vienna. Since I am already in Germany, I will travel to Austria and get it done in person.
Bottomline: VO does not matter. Depending on where you are, you can get a permission and send passports to nearest Visa Office.

Thats what they told me. Come and submit passport between 8:30-9:00AM. Collect it at 3PM same day.
I recall some ppl doing the same at NDVO as well. But it will be good idea to check with them before going.

Thanks Alok, even I was thinking of going to New Delhi and getting it done as VFS global takes approx 7-20 days for stamping and COPR. BTW, I am Hyderabadi.
