Guys I have a very important query regarding the photos to be submitted along with the passports.

The photo specifications mentioned in the link povided in the passport request email says the size to be in the range from 25mm-30mm from crown to chin. However when I checked with the photographer, he told that he provides photos with 80% face for Canada visa which is around 37-38mm from crown to chin. The same specs are also available on the following link as well:

This is the regular size which photographers provide for Canada visa.
So please advice the size of the photos that I should get.

After spending 10days, 5hours and 30minutes & after 94 posts on this amazing forum I got DM & PPR today. Total numbers of days from application received to PPR 221days.

One of my friend's file is transferred to WVO, though he is from delhi (India) and he got MR, now the MR slips and RPR fees is required to be couriered to NDVO or Warsaw.

Thanks 2leezhere.one more question what abiout photos? Did you do those again or gave a old one?

I gave the old one which I submitted already in Nov'14. No specific reqts mentioned reg the tenure of the photo taken.
2 for each applicant on the file.

1 with date of photo taken and address of the studio and 1 blank.

Folks I submitted the PPs today through VFS.

The procedure was pretty simple..Took 40 mins in total. Wait time of 20 mins included !
Thought I'l share the same for bros and sis who are planning to to visit soon:

- Arrived. security checks. Carried a backpack which had my folder which had just the org PPs, PPR email hard copies and photos. Kept the phones inside (Switched off)
- Security escorted into the dedicated work space for Canada.
- Took a token for Visa Submission in the Kiosk
- Waited in the area which has notice about the current day's waiting period..It was 30 mins today (displayed)
- After 20 min my token was called for. Provided the token, Org PPs , Photos
- Was asked if I need the PPs back by courier or in person. Asked if I need sms notifications.
- Additional charges apply to these. Basic charge is INR 579 per PP. Sms - 49 per applicant.
- Asked to leave the counter to pay the req total amount in cash in another counter. The VFS counter employee would waited till we come back
- Rem - They accept only cash..no cards. get the receipt and go back to the first counter.
- VFS employees checks the receipts and uploads the data into the system and gives a long receipt which would have 2 ref ids. 1 for the application and the 2nd for the application tracking ( this is the imp one - we can use this on the vfs website for tracking it ourselves - I regret paying for the sms now !)
- Was advised by the VFS employee that it would take a max of 10 Business days for it to come back and I would receive a sms. can collect it the very next working day in person bet 1400 -1600 hrs IST
- was asked to take the receipt back to the counter where I paid cash to get a PAID seal.
- Thats it headed back home !!!

Note: Please follow the instructions diligently sent in the PPR email word by word. Esp taking the hard copies of the email sent to you. PHotos: Should meet specifications (2 for each applicant) & 1 of the photo should have the date taken and the studio's adress written or stamped on the back. No stickers allowed and security protocols advised on the vfs portal.Not a fan of it but dont have a choice !

Could be that a particular group of old files are with few senior VOs who is already got backlog ( noticed Russian forum too moving slow similar to our pace). Might have deployed new group when they started receiving large volume of files beyond capacity, new employees with no back logs are clearing applicants after us really Quick. Simultaneously the particular senior VOs are having time being a different project or monitoring the new setup.... or something similar

Suggestions and corrections are appreciated.
