How did you check your online status? you must have received some kind of receipt number or case number in order to do that, when did you get those?

Just a quick update:
applied at the end of Jan and the package is delivered to Sydney office today

I just found out that my credit card has been charged today, 10 days after the delivery of my application package.
Any idea when I can get a receipt/case number from CIC from this point on?

No, I didn't receive any receipt numbers or case numbers.
I used my Client ID Number, which I got with my first Work Permit 2 years ago.

I've got email form CIO today:
"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of Arranged Employment in Canada. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.
Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing."

I've got email form CIO today:
"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of Arranged Employment in Canada. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.
Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing."

OK, I tried with the UCI number on my work permit again today, and it now shows an status of 'in process', with the detail saying ' we received your application on Feb 6th'

I guess there's some progress... I wonder when I will receive the PER from this point on.

Hi guys

Finally a breather for me...As I had said earlier I got my application back & had to make amendments. I had re-send it & they received it on Feb 21.

Today I got a email from CIC which said following :

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of Arranged Employment in Canada. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office."

I think this is a standard email every one is getting. I am also able to see my application status in eCas. Really relieved!!

From today I am able to check my status online
Quote "We received your application for permanent residence on January 10, 2013."

@pavlomar - I did not get any response from CIC so far... I think next correspondence will be from the Visa Office..

I emailed the visa office and got a reply that said my application was transferred to VO last month, and is waiting in line for reviewing
