Hi. Need urgent confirmation.

I am ready to send my fswp application, but when I went to the post office (England), he said the address is too long and what telephone number is it?

The guide only has one address no shorter version or number.

Can someone kindly help? This is the address I have :

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category or Arranged Employment Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
Centralized Intake Office
PO(Post Office)BOX 7500
Sydney, NS(Nova Scotia)
B1P 0A9
Canada

Is this correct? Does DHL need all of it?
Also what contact number can I give to DHL?

Thanks.

DO NOT try and send by courier to the PO Box address. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/sydney.asp

I sent mine to this address:

Federal Skilled Worker, NOC: 2174
Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2
Canada

(where 2174 is my NOC)

As far as I know there isn't a telephone number you can use, so put yours down (in International format) - at least you'll know if they call!

BTW I sent from the UK, and found that ParcelForce just used FedEx, who were slower than promised. I dispatched on a Monday afternoon, and it finally arrived on the Friday ("Global Express - Guaranteed from 1 Day"!)
I don't remember about DHL but I do know that the folks who used UPS managed to get their packs to Canada faster. My shipment was routed by Fedex to BirminghamUK ->RoissyFR -> NewarkNJ-> MemphisTN-> MirabelPQ-> MissisaugaON-> DieppeNB-> GoffsNS-> SydneyNS, which was a nail-biting saga as the caps were filling up fast!

:)

Thanks Ioncan.

I'm surprised how the addresses are so different. The one i posted is straight from the imm 7000 doc. Where on earth does that go.?? I'm so glad I couldnt post it today now.

I'll go with your address given that you have already submitted yours. How long did it take for you to know if you was successful?

Ive read that there is a backlog in the London visa office, do you know if that is clearing up?

Many thanks again

Well having arrived in SydneyNS on 24 May 2013 it then took until 8 Aug 2013 before they wrote back to me ("PER"). I knew I was OK on 2 Aug as my credit card was charged - that was a very good day - never been so happy to have someone take money off me before. The good news is you can see other people's progress via the forums and spreadsheet, so I knew when folks who had been received the day before me got charged etc. The sad bit is when you hear people haven't made it, often for silly mistakes.

After that the Visa Officer in London has an opportunity to agree or disagree with the eligibility determined in SydneyNS, after which they issue a Medical Request. In my case I had to go to interview before getting the Medical Request (nearly all the May 2174's for London did), but others just got a Medical Request. After the Medical Request you just wait while they check your x-rays etc and the checks that you're not a terrorist come back, and then they request passports/issue visa.

London are getting through the backlog. Most of the May applicants have been invited for medicals and a small number have the visas already, so for FSW2013 we may be talking about a 13 average month processing time from arrival in Sydney. For FSW2014 you have more applicants but less backlog from previous years (hopefully).

Thanks for the update Ioncan.

You made me chuckle ... about being 'happy to have someone take money out of your account'. I would be ecstatic too.
Good luck with your medical. After that it's not much longer then. :) Where are you planning to go?

Hey, in regards to the post address. My office Post guys, tried punching in the post code you gave me. They said that DHL, does have that full post code. :(
DHL, only has B1P 5X. The B1P 5XP, doesn't exist.

Do you think removing the 'P' at the end will get there?

Thanks again

I believe the medical went OK. Planning to go this summer to Ontario. The postcode you want is B1P 5Z2. The other postcodes are for PO Boxes that don't work for couriers.

Federal Skilled Worker, NOC: XXXX
Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2

Hi Ioncon,

Thanks for clarifying with the post code. For some reason DHL doesn't accept the 6 digit post code. I took a risk and used the 5 (dropped the last letter). :D it it got delivered.

Its just a waiting game now. I can't wait for the money to be taken out of my account. ;D fingers x.

What's after the medical? Did you get called up for an interview?

Ontario!! Cool. I'm also thinking to head out there and see what's around.

Maybe we'll bumped into each other one day. The world is pretty small.

Good luck with it all.

Glad it worked out!
Technically they can call you for interview after medical but it is rare (happens for security reasons presumably), it is nearly always before medicals or not required at all.
All the best with the waiting game :)
