Yes Karbanah, tama si PRSLY, sa PPR correspondence sya makikita. Sa MR na sabay PPR kasi walang ganyan. Btw, VOH na din kami today. It was indeed a long process and a test of patience and will. Maybe preparing us for the life ahead. Wonderful and Merry Christmas everybody. This forum gave a lot of information.

Yea, kasi when I checked my PPR (almost sabay sa MR ko, received the PPR even before I had my medical exams done), it wasn't there.. dd/mm/yy lang naka indicate. Maybe because nga sabay. But sa end naman ng PPR, may naka sulat na they'll try their best to send the passport with visa in 90working days. Congratulations, chocoks77!! i'm still waiting for VOH.

I don't think so JonesM. Kasi ang payment option is cod sa office daw nila sa manila or bank to bank transfer. Sinabi ko na taga cebu ako wala namn binigay na option na pwede magbayad dri sa cebu. God bless!!

May tanong po ako regarding settlement funds para sa mga nakapag-land na:

Possible po ba na hindi dalhin in cash ang settlement fund upon landing? I am planning na ilagay sa Philippine bank savings account ang funds at pagdating sa Canada ay i-wiwthdraw ko na lang ito sa ATM machine since capable naman ng international withdrawal ang aking ATM. I will just bring with me bank certification stating account balance and some cash. I am afraid to travel alone with big amount of cash.

Possible ba iyon at hindi ako ma-question ng Customs and Immigration?

Hello Akkinika! We are thingking 1st qtr of next year no definite flight date yet. Have you purchased your ticket already? From where did you purchase it and how much? Will be settling in edmonton though. God bless!

hindi pa ako nag land na, but my cousin already has..

and what she did was she had her funds issued in a manager's cheque para wala siyang dalang cash na big amount.. bring some cash for emergency purposes kasi when u deposit ur manager's cheque in Canada, it would take up to 90working days before nila ma clear yung cheque. so u have to have cash on hand din. or pwede din na mag ATM ka, but to be sure, magdala ka din ng kahit konting cash.. mab

Yes, hopeful2015 I am from Cebu. I already have confirmed schedule for CIIP orientation this coming Dec. 14/15. We also did our PDOS last Friday. How about yours? God bless!

Thank you Karbanah. I will also bring cash for emergency lang at very minimal lang. But, almost all of my settlement funds ay nakalagay sa Philippine saving account. Tutuloy ako sa sister ko at yung adjustment stage expenses ko ay shoulder nya. Kaya I don't want to bring big amount of cash. Worried lang ako kung acceptable sa part ng Customs and Immigration ng Canada ang bank certification from Philippine local bank.

PDOS is a MUST. CIIP (and COA) is optional but highly recommended.
