Guys quick question lang po. My passport will expire May 2016. Magiging problem ba ito by the time I'll send this for PPR? It could be early August since I'm in MR stage right now. And concern ko po is ang expiration ng passport ko. Guys anyone :

Hi, about the same predicament as ours. My pp expiry is on August 2016. Nag PPR kami this month lang, and we have received the Visas recently.

Our Visa Validity is on June 2016, since June 2015 kami ng Medicals. So it is 2months before expiry ng Passport.

Since you mentioned Medicals ka na ngayon, supposedly Visa Validity mu will be on July 2016. However, it will be shortened according to your PP expiry which will be on May 2016. But your required to renew your passport afterwards, since you cannot travel with the 6months rule.

Hi kakarotson,

It depends on many factors - how fast your Visa Officers acts, reviews/analyzes, decides on your case, if there are more cases the VO is attending before you, etc., to name a few...

If your PP's are expiring that soon, then it's strongly suggested that you renew them immediately while waiting for your PPR.

It took us a little less than a month for the PPR to come from the time MR was received by MVO.

Ibig sabihin pwede ko pa gamitin old passport ko n valid until Nov 2015 para sa medicals ko tapos mag renew n din ako at the same time. Di kaya magkakaproblema kapag nagPPR na kasi iba n passport ko?

Oo sis.. napapaso na tayo dito.. This coming Sept nnaman meron ulit increase threshold pra sa may mga dependent pass.. apektado kami if ever. If wala talaga tong PR visa now.. hirap na talaga maging ma isa ang pamilya dito..

We have decided sa Toronto na kami sis. Meron kasi kaming kakilala mismo nag offer ng tulong samen. Would be more advantageous for us for the initial settlement..

You're welcome, kakarotson.

You can have get a schedule ASAP for your PP renewal while you are having your Medicals. You still have to present these old ones during the Medical Exams. At least, you have your sched for renewal already.

You will notify MVO that you are applying for the renewal and as soon as you have new PPs, inform them of the new PPs. You can send this notification thru CSE or email directly to MVO.

The thing is, you have to have new PPs before you have the PPR and submit the new ones. Coz the validity of the VIsa depends on the PP's expiry. Unless that's fine with you.

I believe na mas magkakaproblema ka kung lumang PP ang gagamitin for submission of PPs kasi too soon na yan.
