Hi,

On my end, I gave my boss a head's up (verbal) that Ill be resigning as soon as I get hold of my passport with VISA so he can find time to look for a replacement. I want to leave the company in good terms as I might need them as reference for job opportunities in Canada. (And my PPR stated: "Your visa(s) for permanent residence to Canada is/are ready to be issued, conditional to a final admissibility review by an immigration officer.")

meron b taga dubai dito? paano ba ako kukuha ng NBI eh malayo ako? patulong naman...binigyan ako ng 30days notice para submit and 2nd line update ko din pero wala MR... PCC lang pinas and dubai...

salamat!

To get your NBI, punta po kayo sa Phil Consulate to get the finger print form. Bring the form along with 1pc of passport pic white background to Almullah police station (Al Qiyadah metro station). Need you po magfinger print at iaasist kayo ng police in charge.
AED110/- for finger print. If you are lucky, you can get the form stamped and signed by them on the same day, otherwise, next day you can collect. Then, go back to Phil consulate for authentication, 3-4 working days ang processing, they will send it to you through courier. Payment will be AED100 for authentication and AED15-20 for local courier service or about AED100 to courier it directly to the philippines (to save your time).
In my case, I ask my father to go to NBI Taft and applied on my behalf with my authenticated finger print form at authorization letter.
I think after 7 working days nakuha na nya.

You need a representative to process your NBI on your behalf. Don't forget to provide an authorization letter.

Yung authentication sa Phil Consulate 3-4working days, NBI process took 7 working days based on my experience.

I had a similar experience. CIIP sent their invitation even before we got our MR. And we attended it (on line) before we got our PPR. Its actually useful as they provide a lot of information and links you up with resources persons based in Canada and to the specific province you are planning to live in.

I do have a question on PDOS. My wife shared me the link below about PDOS and this was the first time I heard about it. Anyone in the forum attended the seminar? Is it really required?

http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1799%3Afor-filipinos-leaving-the-country-with-an-immigrant-visa&catid=139%3Apre-departure-orientation-seminar&Itemid=917

Thanks vduller..
Free pre-departure orientation seminar ang subject nung email from CEM pero nung binasa ko COA invitation pala yun.

Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) is a free one-day seminar for ALL categories of IMMIGRANTS, as well as LIVE-IN CAREGIVERS, provided by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Madaming seminar sessions pala na aattendan before departure:
1. CIIP
2. COA
3. PDOS under cfo.gov.ph

MR oh MR. Where art thou? Hihi
