We got an e-mail from CEM requiring my husband to undergo further medical tests.
Because of his elevated SGPT
[which was an additional test during our medical exams], The Panel Physician (IOM) required him to be tested for Hepatitis and also to have liver ultrasound to determine if he will require treatment in Canada
[I presume CEM wants to ensure that his treatment will not have an excessive demand on Canada healthcare]
For our peace of mind, he took the Hepatitis test in a nearby laboratory and it came out negative naman kaya he went straight to IOM [after setting an appointment also on the same day] to take the Hepatitis test. Salamat, Lord!
Admittedly, this is a cause for delay in our application
[especially so that we are targeting to land before school starts in September], but I believe that this is God's timing.
Kaya tip for those waiting for MR especially those who have a history of fatty liver: Have your SGPT checked while waiting for MR and see a doctor if your SGPT is above normal levels so you can get treated even prior to your medicals. It pays to be one (or more) step ahead.
