Curious to know why you think investment bankers do not make the cut for this role - in my view this is cut out for investment bankers - and will see many applying. The role description asks for people "providing financial and investment or financing advice for their company or their company's clients...in areas such as takeover bids, private placements, mergers or acquisitions." Think that pretty much fits I-bankers....

hi Coolguy2010, I have 6 years of experience as financial analyst but from last 3 yrs i am working in IT comapany as team lead after some IT certifications and 1 year computer course. Do you think that would be a problem if i apply under noc 1112. My education is Bcom.

We have earlier chat on other FSWP thread. As you somewhere mentioned in this thread that Experience related to 1112 NOC is only count for point calculation and not other Experience.

Just want to clarify:- Mine experience was

- Assistant Manager(Financial Analyst) in F&A Department(written same as Assistant Manager(Financial Analyst) on the letter head, but mentioned Assistant Manager only in pay stubs and promotion letter) - 1.6 year
- Business Analyst ( in Analytics Department) - 1 year
- Analyst( in Analytics Department) - 1 year
- Senior Associate F&A - 1.5 year
- Associate F&A - 2 years

All Experence is in the same Company and have an Experience letter on company letterhead, signed and stamped by HR Manager, which say I am currently Assistant Manager(Financial Analyst) and Performing the 90% same responsibility given for 1112 NOC(writen the duties i perform which is similar as 90% with the noc).

Also, on second page, My Tenure in the Company is Mentioned, Which date I joined and which department and when I got promotions.

Also, attached promotion letters but it says only Assistant Manager instead of complete Assistant Manager(Financial Analyst).

My Question: 1. Will there be any issue regarding me qualifying in this NOC?
2. I Think I will get points for all of my experience which is 15 points as it is not mentioned anywhere that you will get points only for 1112 experience. But Yes to qualify we should need at least 1 year experience in NOC 1112. Please throw some light?

Your experience is good enough to support your 15 points. You have total 7 yrs of experience for which you need 6 yrs to claim max 15 points.

Your qualification is M.Com which is sufficient. I am not sure about distance MBA , if you are claiming any points for that.

I am in confusion regarding my application.

I started my career as a Financial Analyst back in 2009 January and promoted to Senior Executive and quit that Asset Management Company last September. I prepared Equity researches, Fundamental & Technical analysis,IPO Related tasks,Mutual Fund operation etc.

Now I am working in a Multinational Bank where I am responsible for different kind of finance activities ( Distinctive than Financial Analyst). For Example: I am currently working on budget preparation, Risk Management Paper preparation, Stress Testing,MIS reporting related task and submit report to Central bank and Group.

I am in doubt whether my current job description would send me in disadvantageous position whereas I have almost all the necessary qualification of Financial Analyst and also have the Financial Analyst experience of around 3 years 9 months.

I would appreciate if someone can help me also on the below phenomenon.

In Generic Application Form there is a field for Intended Occupation, I am a Finance guy and also a Website & Graphic Designer. Can i insert Financial Analyst and Computer programmers and interactive media developers as my intended occupation on that form?

1. I think the job duties that you are performing currently, matches NOC 0111- Try and get a work experience letter from the bank which highlights your roles more aligned to NOC 1112.

2. In the Generic Application for, Mention the job that aligns with the NOC that you have applied for- i.e Financial Analyst for intended occupation and NOT computer programming.

If you get work experience letter as "Financial Analyst" , you are good to go. Make sure duties matches as per NOC 1112 (not copy of that.....or else u will get rejected)

If you have work as Computer Programmers in some yrs , its fine to write in Form.

- And Finally Have sister is Canada But not Claiming Points for that.
