FSWC 2013: Educational credential assessment

Has there been any announcement already about this? Is there a way that we can finish the credential assessment now? I am afraid we would not get enough time once the door opens in 2013.

Any suggestion would be valuable.

As per the August 18 2012 Gazette notification ARCHIVED — Vol. 146, No. 33 — August 18, 2012 FSW will be based on Credential assessment. The said Regulations come into force on January 1, 2013. (Section 17 of the said notification)

There are two regulatory processes 1. Non regulated 2. Regulated.

Regulated is covered by different bodies example NCA for lawyers Teacher education for teachers doctors etc and you would have to apply to them.

Non-regulated are covered by Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials....cicic.ca

It would be too early to get assessed as the Minister has to issue further clarification on designated authorities to perform the assessments.

However, get your documents ready in the manner prescribed by these authorities and send them moment further clarification is issued.

Thank you so much for the clarification. Is there a guideline available so as to what documentation I might need to apply for FSWC 2013? It would be very helpful for a lot of people like me, I guess.
