Guys, By God's grace my timeline is complete and I got my passports stamped today through courier for my wife, myself and my daughter.
The visa says IM-1 IMMIGRANT category and valid till 10 Oct 2016.. :-X
Not sure why only for 10months.. Also got a form along with it which needs to be stamped at the airport in Canada.

For all those waiting for ppr, don't worry it will surely come soon..

For those who have got redo IELTS, I suggest to send an email to CVO asking why to redo when you have done in good faith? Also send an email to idp or british council asking them to validate the results as Canada embassy in cvo is questioning the integrity and copy cvo in that email..
For no fault of yours, you should not be the victim.

Congrats buddy. Its 10 months valid only because Immigrant visas are valid for 1 year from the date of your medical examination/medical received by the Visa office. 10 months is a good time to prepare and plan your landing. In case you need more time, you must enter Canada before this date and can come back for completing pending tasks/activities. The document that came along with the Passport is CoPR (Certificate of Permanent Residency) and has to be presented at the Airport while boarding flight and as well as at Canadian Airport while completing landing formalities. Immigration office will retain one copy of it and will handover the other to you.

Also keep the group posted once you land in Canada what were you asked to do at the airport immigration..

Immigration officer at Canadian Airport will ask for Passports and 2 copies of CoPR documents (that will come alongwith stamped Visa). If you are accompanied by your spouse, they will talk to you both separately and ask same questions to both of them, will ask if you are married, how many kids, any other dependent that is not listed on the CoPR etc. (all fact based questions, no twisters or teasers). Mine also asked me how much money i have brought in and in what form (cash/DD etc) and that was all.

Thanks for the info....planning to land by Mid April, 16.

Need some help, planning to go by British Airways as can get the tickets for 4 person at Rs. 170k. BA sale is on till 31st Jan.
Have to transit London, do we require to take transit visa ?
For carrying POF can we carry traveler card, instead of DD ?
Where to live in Vancouver and how to find a decent 2 bhk apartment ?
