About landing
they will not ask much questions other than proof of funds. You must declare any form of money which is more than $10000. It includes paper, cheques, travel cards, bonds etc.
beside this be thorough about the details you provided on your application.

accommodation and agreement
better get a basement or an apartment. Will cost between 600-1200 $according to the area.
better get a short-term agreement. Never go for one year agreement which will stop you from moving and getting a better job anywhere else.
you can even get accommodation without agreement.
checkout these sites for accommodation used vehicles etc
craiglist.ca, kijiji.ca, autotrader.ca etc.

Wifi and phone

It's piece of cake in Canada. Go to any outlet and tell them what you need. Indian passport is enough as a document proof.

Insurance

Medical insurance is not usually available for the first 3 months.
so before boarding on a flight better get a private medical insurance for 3 months.
or in need of medical emergency it will be disaster in terms of money.

Getting a driving licence
Indian license is valid for 3/4 months for the immigrants to drive. Need to pass learners test for this. Not so easy to pass. Will have to study. But I wouldn't recommend you driving in Canada without taking a few hours of driving lessons because rules and regulations are a bit difficult to understand.
if your license in India is more than 2 years old you will be allowed to go for road test anytime you can find an appointment. If it's not that old you will have to wait for one year to go for road test. Road test is extremely tough. 45 minutes one on one.

Car
in Canada cars are mostly automatic. 150 k km are considered are low kilometers.
Toyotas and Hondas will go 300k kms without any issues.
for 5000-6000 $ you can find decent corollas and civics.

In Canada if you want to ask anything to anyone, say that you have a question not adoubt.
petrol is called as gas. Bus ticket is bus fare.
always use can I or may I if you want to ask anything.
and never mention people by their clan or race.

This is a great collation of important information. I truly appreciate and respect your support to the forumites like me with your up-to-date information and suggestions. Wish you a wonderful life ahead, may you be blessed with lots of happiness, health and wealth.

Please be in touch and keep us motivated as you always!

Best Regards,
KM

Can anybody share the steps how they send the passport from VFS ?

Do I have to put my PP and The Request Email in an Envelope and they will send it ?

OR I have to take these things and they will put these docs in their own envelopes and will courier ?

Carry Passport and all other docs which have been requested along with an envelope.
VFS would most likely put everything in their own envelope.

Seniors,

I have to send 2 photographs alongwith the Passport and for that below are some requisites.

Photo essentials
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The two photos must be taken by a commercial photographer.

2. The photos must be original and not altered in any way or taken from an existing photo.

3. The name and complete address of the photo studio as well as the date the photo was taken must be included on the back of one photo.
The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

4. The photo with the photographer’s information must include your name and date of birth. One photo should be left blank
.
5. The photos must have been taken within the past six months.

6. The photos must be printed on quality photographic paper.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you go through step 3rd and 4th, you will see that they want many details on the back of Photo.

So anybody can tell me whether I can put these information in a separate paper or not ? Since not sure whether I will be able to accomodate all these details at the back of photo. This much size and not enough space...

Seniors share your thoughts..

Moreover, I have the photographs from Nov Month which I used in my Application also, so again I have to take the new photographs and have to send ?
