you can get your passport stamped from London visa office.
your wife and child can get it done from India.
you dont have to send it from U.K.
ppr happens anytime between 1-4 weeks after medical.
I sent my passport to cpc Ottawa in canada for stamping.
I requested them for that while sending my pcc and RPRF.
you can send a cse and request the same.
usually ppr mail has a link for all these things. Even if you do not request them also you can get it done from the U.K. using the information from the link.

dear kako
there is nothing to worry.
they are processing according to the application received date not by AOR date.
currently they are finishing last set of November and started with December for MR.
the delay should be because of the overwhelming study visa applications in the vo.
in Canada there is intake for August September batches for academic programs so they must hsve been processing some of those applications along.
you are not late until the half of next month. Until then chill abd relax. Hopefully you and everyone else will get it shortly.
good luck.

Thx Bro.... How to give +1 ? Cant find here....

According to my limited knowledge you can make the landing alone as far you have a valid immigration visa.
there is no problem with sponsoring them later on. But there will be questions for which you will hsve to give explanation regarding the non immigrating wife and kids. Which can make the spondoring process a bit difficult
