Any ideas as how much time does colombo Vo takes after AOR to send MR ?

Can't say, but they really took a long time of 3 months to send me the MR. I've also hired a Canadian attorney. Check my timeline. May be they are working a bit faster now to clear the backlogs. Average time is 45-60 days. Just hope for the best.

Regards.

You will recieve email from VO regarding medicals, RPRF & PCC etc to be submitted.

Medicals will cost around 4200 Rs per person and tests will include chest x-ray, blood & urine sample (authorized panel list is available on CIC website).

RPRF is 490 CAD and payable by debit / credit card

Thanks.. just one more query .. i have a 2 year old don.. does he also hv to undergo medical?

Hi Optimistic candidate,

i have a question here!!

why would the Visa office do the criminal background verification after PCC, RPRF & medicals are done. Also, how do they perform these checks??

Bcoz ideally when you are providing the PCC, this should be sufficient for the VO to ensure there are no criminal cases pending against an individual. This has been one of the confusing points throughout this process on this forum..

hi...as per my observation currently most October and November applicants are getting MR so his turn may come any time soon...real test is for December applicants like us

Yesterday my Medical is done and today couriered all the docs.. It has to be reach before 29th.... Hope everything goes well...

considering that it will reach in time even my medical report by the hospital...my wait time starts for PPR...with hopefully interviewed waived....

Just want to share my experience regarding medicals... I am not too sure of all the states how the medicals get booked.. so ignore it if it is not applicable to you...

I booked the appointment on the same day when I got the email for MR...ie. 28th May and and I got the date of 18th June... After 4-5 calls in 15 days follow up I got one day earlier because someone cancel his/her Medical appointment.. and so that makes 17th.. It takes whole day of yours... and so you courier it next day and it may take 5-7 business days to reach documents to the VO.

Suggestion for all those who has passed some 70-80 days of there AOR and expecting the MR.. you all take the appointment.. since it is verbal only and does not ask for anything.. you can also cancel it anytime.. (if the process is common across India like what I have faced).. You may get appointment after 15 days or so and within next 10 days you get MR then your wait time is only 5 days..

You can get the details of the hospital of your state on CIC website.. you should also check in advance process of booking the appointment so that you should not waste your time..

No one has guided me on this and so wants to share this so that you guys should not face issues.. You should always remain far away from the deadlines in this cases..

Good Luck to everybody...

Hi all,

A big sigh of relief ... after a long wait of 85 days I got my MR and PCC and RPRF request!!

pcc doesn't show one's criminal background in depth or in detail.
if you have already taken pcc from India you know that they are checking only if there are any pending cases on your name.
there are no thorough checks done by them.
cic in fact does make sure thst they are not putting their citizens in danger by recruiting a person with criminal background. Also no other humsn rights are violated by him.
but the way they do it is unknown.
