Can anyone suggest who to get PCC from mumbai/navi mumabi
I tried from passport office thane , but its difficult to get an appointment on the website.

Also can we get it from the nearest police station.

PLease advice.

Siddharth, don't get into mess of going to Passport Office Thane and do it as it will take hell lot of time..i did it myself in mumbai thru local police station..below is the steps i followed..
1.) I went to SP Office in Thane, there is a passport office to issue PCC for immigrants..a small office were in 2-3 people sit there..they will give u a form and docs list..also they will ask you to make a DD of some 200 Rs thru nationalised bank.
2.) There is a state bank available near by go there and make a dd..all details of dd will be mentioned in the docs required letter by him..
3.) Make DD give docs asked and form to him..he will ask your local police station were you are residing to send docs there for verification purpose.
4.) Within a span of 4-5 days they will send your docs to local police station and they will contact you.
5.) Local police station will ask you to get proof of your residence etc for verification. And ask you to submit all docs..
Submit it and they will take 2 days for verification and then they will send your verification report to SP office Thane and from there same day you can get PCC.

You can also visit SP office Mumbai,in churchgate and check..Best Luck..

I will suggest you to contact your local police station and go for it. Since if you take appointment from Passport office it will take more time.

You may have to give initial application to your police station with some ID proofs but you will get PCC within 15 to 20 days max..

Just an observation.....once SLU gets updated CVO is really quick......And the same thing is also mentioned by my Consultant......Patience is the key

Siddarth....I would suggest to go thru Passport office. You dont require appointment for PCC....they do it on walkin basis but u have to reach before 9 a.m. Register on their website today only ...you may go tomm.

Day 1 - they will accept ur app.( refer passpoert seva kendra website for documents required)
Day 2-3 they will send ur app. To local police stn.
Day 4-5 local police person will call u and visit ur house....make him happy(hope u understand)so that he

process it next day
Day 7- u will get sms to collect PCC ....u can visit passport office again no appointment required and you will get PCC in 1 hour time.

This was my exp. for ANdheri Passport office. Churchgate police office is mess.
