Hey Opti!!We understand its a piviledge but we just expect a little transparency from CIC...atleast after charging RPR fee they are obliged to keep applicant informed about how much one needs to wait & expect...They can charge a small fee to people wanting to know the status..
If this forum wasnt there people would not have even bleak idea about the progress and its one's career, life on stake ...

I myself was a student in Canada and during my processing time this same delay happened to PR files.
in Canada there had been 1 lakh foreign students in 2012.
That number keeps increasing every year. Most of the students are from China and Indian subcontinent.
study visas are expensive and Canadian govt get more revenue from students.
and all of us must keep in mind that PR in Canada is not our right but just a privilege.
And cvo is not dealing with only our applications. They hsve a lot of other stuff to do. Thry csnt relax because the pay is hourly and they hsve certain target to meet every day.
Nothing is gonna change anything if you get frustrated and ask these questions everyday.
just relax keep your head cool. Everything will happen at the right time

Omg......losing patience day by day . Don't know what they are doing with doctors file?????
I know 6 people with me who belong s to health care industry profession doctors with same and near timelines still waiting for MR from long.


Seniors please guide on this....what could be the reason they are not processing medical lines files

here no guess works actually... but today when I went for my passport submission I found students more... and believe they might be busy in August or September intakes... so every VOs may be busy... might be they are giving local candidates more preferences since their colleges will start...

I don't know how come a few applications from Sept & Oct 2014 got stuck in all this study visa thing even after getting DM (on eCAS) while on the other hand a lot of late October applicants got their PPRs (no offense to them). I couldn't think of any reason for this delay.

What I think is after DM, Passports go to NDVO for stamping.. and so in NDVO, passports of NDVO, CVO and WVO are all their so it may take time... not sure there are other VOs or not but I know 2 of these... May be I am wrong but just a thought...

I can understand your concern. But embassy's work has a confidentiality.
The way I get information is from consultants who are running their agencies who were employees in the Canadian high commission before.
they process study visa bacause it's urgent. Students cant wait bacause of their academic schedule.
And it involves a lot more money that's anywhere between 15-40 thousand $

I have to send 2 photographs alongwith the Passport and for that below are some requisites.

Photo essentials
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The two photos must be taken by a commercial photographer.

2. The photos must be original and not altered in any way or taken from an existing photo.

3. The name and complete address of the photo studio as well as the date the photo was taken must be included on the back of one photo.
The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

4. The photo with the photographer's information must include your name and date of birth. One photo should be left blank
.
5. The photos must have been taken within the past six months.

6. The photos must be printed on quality photographic paper.

If you go through step 3rd and 4th, you will see that they want many details on the back of Photo.

So anybody can tell me whether I can put these information in a separate paper or not ? Since not sure whether I will be able to accomodate all these details at the back of photo. This much size and not enough space...

I am done with this now..

Firstly, I went for new photographs..since photo taken date needs to be mention and it is clearly mentioned that photographs should not be older than 6 months..

Secondly, I wrote all the details in the back of the photo keeping the photo horizontally so that I can accommodate all the details.. make sure handwriting is clear..

Third thing is I took out one print out on A4 paper mentioning below details:

I then went to VFS center and give them this print out alongwith the email request which came and photographs.
