Hey Opti.. can you let me know the difference of PPR and DM... What I need to understand is why there is difference in days for PPR and DM ? when they send the request for PPR and if its positive then they will stamp it - correct me if I misunderstood here.

Now if they stamp the passport then why DM is late on ECAS.

Would like to know/understand the process of PPR and DM...

DM is always made before ppr.
only thing is they take time to update ecas. Some officials do it before sending ppr email and some do afterwards.
if the DM is negative according to my best assumption they will send a different email stating the reason.
usually those kind of DM happen before MR and during documents verification.
DM csn go negative only in the case of medical and criminal inadmissible cases after MR.

and also they will never request passport when the decision is negative.
passport is requested to finalise the process by stamping it.
Ppr is requested only in case of positive DM.
I received my ppr on 21st and ecas DM on 22nd.

In your case DM made on 22nd June... so you got your passport back after being stamped or you still waiting for it ?

If it is not received then how much time still you will have to wait ?

no buddy. They made decision before 21st. Means before ppr.
but they updated my ecas only on 22nd. DM on 22nd doesn't mean that they took decision on 22nd.
No matter what DM is before ppr. Updating can be later on ecas or even earlier.
I sent my passport to cpc Ottawa. Will be getting back next week.

I am not getting any contact details where to find out VO details of my application it is still in dark. I am worried




1. Application received in July 24 2014

2. File Number comes in November

3. Application start processing in January 21



Till date we are unable to receive any information, please help me to get the contact details where should we call to get the VO details. We are helpless. Senior members please advice

IDK...You need to call CIC's call center number: +1 613 944 4000 >>> then press 1 1 1 1 1 3>>your call will be transferred to an agent>>provide your details (UCI, First name etc)>>> ask him about your VO>>after this just raise Case specific enquiry to your concerned VO by visiting their website and asking about the status of your file.
