In our telegram group, someone just confirmed that an IRCC registered lawyer said that the draws are imminent and there would be no big changes like most people feared
Yes they havemeet their targets and they want high skilled people from overseas to fill in the labour market shortages

Are there actually "IRCC-registered lawyer"s? Even if so, what source do they have to say the draws are imminent? I doubt anyone could leak that kind of information.

I actually asked myself this question too. He’s probably a licensed immigration lawyer and not related directly to IRCC. Anyways, i hope the predictions are right

Hi
Can you plz let me know your AOR and ur PCC date. IRCC asking for PCC again means you will again undergo the same process of collecting PCC??
i am aug’20 AOR and i am really scared that i dont get PCC request again because last year it took me 3 months to collect PCC
Yes, that's correct. I had to get a new PCC which isn't really a difficult task in my country. It normally takes 3,4 days to get one.
In my country, the validity of PCC is 6 months, that's why I was requested a new one. If your PCC has expired too, you will also most likely be asked for a new one. So make sure you have one handy.

My AOR is April 2020. I don't exactly remember when the first PCC was issued. Probably in March.

Yeah they're probably just licensed lawyers. I'm still sure of September. Most of these immigration lawyers work primarily with inland candidates, but if they still openly say FSW draws are imminent, which could potentially scare off their potential clients, then I'll count on it.

By the way I hope the forum's servers are ready for the massive spam in this thread the second the first FSW draw happens. In all honesty, at the risk of getting my account banned, I'll probably spam the hell out of this thread when it happens.

PCC is probably the last document I’ll get. In my country it takes 2 hours to get a PCC and it’s valid for 3months lol

I don't see that happening if they don't stop counting meaningless figures like number of cases... From September onwards IRCC must quickly issue as many CoPRs and PPRs to FSWs as they can while conducting 5000 biweekly all program draws. Otherwise, I can imagine the immigration news from 2022...
They are finalizing simpler CEC in 45 days. So it’s possible. I doubt they can land new FSWs if they start draws this year. The fastest I’ve seen was 3 months and even then, I doubt those would be willing to travel immediately in Nov/Dec. they have 23k COPR holders already and probably another 30-50k AOR waiting for PPR. If they want them this year, then they need to hurry, because I imagine only the desperate will move during winter.

I swear. Idiocy at its finest. I mean it’s not like these people can’t read the hundreds of IRCC postings of travel restrictions. They’re going in through “skilled immigration“ ffs.
I remember someone in the forum saying that "we landed without a problem, don't wait you can come too" like he was so proud of himself. Honestly one of the main reasons I want to immigrate to Canada to avoid these kind of ignorant dummies who don't follow the rules, we have many many of those idiots here in Turkey smh

45 days is an outlier case; I'd guess the average is somewhere between 3-6 months. Therefore, no point in inviting CEC after September while they can spam CoPRs and PPRs to FSWs in 30 days. It'll have been October when a September AOR CEC applies.

Only the desperate will move in winter yes; what do you think the vast majority of immigrants are? Desperate people. But yes, that's why I said IRCC should probably hurry as you said and issue way more PPRs than they need because people may not be fast enough.

Yes, I also think it’s pointless for CEC draws to occur after September/October, they would only finish a fraction of those. After that it will all go to 2022’s target. They really need to focus on finishing those already waiting.
I don’t think all are desperate, more might be willing to go now due to uncertainty, but if economic immigrants were that desperate, soft landings wouldn’t be a thing. I still think that if they don’t hurry in finalizing Outland by end of October, they will have a hard time convincing landings at the end of the year.

Job activity will be low due to holiday season so people might not wanna move.
