Hi Guys one query about the PR quota. When a candidate in the EE pool gets the PNP nomination, which quota is the candidate added to? EE or PNP?
If this is all that will take for you to get angry then you won't survive in Canada lol. Expect mediocrity or incompetence at every turn, relative to most developed nations. Is it very common for an MP's office to ignore emails or phones for 2-3 weeks I sent my 3rd follow-up today (2 emails and 1 call). Or should I assume they are tacitly telling me by not replying they are not going to call IRCC?
I was waiting for the 6 months completion and see if MPs could try calling.
Hamilton Mountain, ON MP seems like a very peculiar animal, her Google page and FB are filled with citizens simply blasting her office for ignoring emails and calls for talking to CRA, etc....
Somehow I feel angry as if the whole Canadian government machinery is gunned down against me, maybe after getting my PR I should get into politics and try to create a South East Asian political party to unite all brown and yellows under one single umbrella, get enough MPS to join one of the coalations. Office politics is not enough for me I need to be in government politics also now I guess.
Thanks mate yes I see what you are saying the government departments and services here are poor. I had never had to reach out to any federal departments other than IRCC till date, it was not a thrilling experience I've to still bear with them will I get my Citizenship I don't have a choice. If this is all that will take for you to get angry then you won't survive in Canada lol. I agree with some of what you just said. It's good that you got out of that mindset.
Yes, it's true that Arabs hate each other too. But I think the only unique thing about Filipinos is that they actively try to let you know that they're hating on you. Like one of the Filipino girls in my apartment back in the UK a few years back would smile at every white person and as soon as she saw any Arab, or a South Asian, she would make the most disgusting face ever. It was so flagrant. And for no reason at all! I have many other stories of them saying horrendous things about black people too ,and how Sri Lankans and Indians always eat smelly food, which is hilarious since Filipino food literally smells like you know what.
Cherry on top is that despite all their hatred for Arabs, so many of them end up opening foot massage parlors in Abu Dhabi lmao. I can never understand how some humans who are often discriminated against then turn around and harbor so much hatred for others in such a nasty and visceral fashion.
We need a "national brotherhood week" in Canada too!Well posts don't make a man, I can claim to be a saint in this forum and be a porn star in real life lol.
I agree with you. yes, some of the poor behavior's of treating people poorly based on the skin is very much ingrained in the a lot of Asian cultures including mine. A lot of us treat darker skinned folks in our own culture worse than a fair skinned folks. I have done this myself in my younger days dating women, always preferred the fairer maidens. Sometimes still do I guess, it is involuntary man sorry sometimes tastes don't change. But I think such behavior is equally prominent with the sub-continental cultures. I know this because folks from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and and Bangladesh have been friends with me right from my youth days in the UK, where we were grouped together, shared accommodations and had a great time scrounging in lowly IT jobs, those days we used to get abused by the entitled whites who felt we were stealing their jobs by taking lower pays.
Today loads of whites some even older than me work for me, it is a much changed different world, I'm thankful for all those who did hold a handle and let us all move up in our Careers. This upward move applies to a lot of Indians also. I love East-Coast and west coast Americans, I have never felt discriminated there not even one day even 17-18 years back, Texas and a few inner red-districts are still bad.
Each one of us is entitled to our opinion I don't disagree with most of the stuff you say.
If you could back up your claims, it would be great. Otherwise, I doubt it.If this is all that will take for you to get angry then you won't survive in Canada lol. Expect mediocrity or incompetence at every turn, relative to most developed nations.
Sorry I disagree the level of competence and ability to get thing done is very poor overall in Canada in almost all walks of life, it is little worse in the government is what I feel.If you could back up your claims, it would be great. Otherwise, I doubt it.
If you are talking about EU countries, they have high taxes, meaning government employees get paid better.
If you are talking about the US, their tax base is bigger and so on. However, I read that underfunding is prevalent, meaning they can't do their work. IRS can't recover tax money from rich crooks etc.
Canada is in the middle I guess. I would like to see formal research though before making such claims.
I wish this were true for IRCC as well. Accepting way too many people and processing their apps under 6 months is screwing over everyone and everything.Sorry I disagree the level of competence and ability to get thing done is very poor overall in Canada in almost all walks of life, it is little worse in the government is what I feel.
They show they are incompetent by filtering out the more qualified people with better competence. i.e. who will increase the average competence level of Canada. IRCC either is rejecting them or delaying their applications so these capable ones go elsewhere, IRCC use their lordly lord times to approve more Lambdas to reduce Canadian intelligence levels even lowerI wish this were true for IRCC as well. If it were the US, it would be 2 years or so. Visas for relatives take 20 years in the US. We need that kind of incompetence here at IRCC lol
Look up IRCC's revolutionary AII wish this were true for IRCC as well. Accepting way too many people and processing their apps under 6 months is screwing over everyone and everything.

You have a new house? I'll trade you some lambdas for a percentagePosted this in March after looking at how bad the rental market really was(and giving out my personal info for rental felt so dumb): https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/newcomer-pr-mortgage-questions.791545/
Bought my home yesterday. I landed here earlier this month for context. I posted most of what I had planned in that thread and it worked just as I thought it would. Feel free to browse what I did. I also feel happy to receive DMs from other immigrants who read my posts and were able to buy their homes post-landing too.
Some realizations:
1. for all the crash talk, there are a LOT of people with millions of dollars in cash who take any investment opportunity they can - the market is highly likely to not crash(can do down, but won't crash) as these people can easily wait out 5 years of tough market. Non-investors would crack first.
2. you'll always be forced on "investment opportunities", "keeping low equity", "flipping", etc and other lifestyle bs. There's money to be made there for sure, but it is something that deeply damages the market for some many others that there's a moral decision that one needs to make.
3. buying cheap = peace of mind. RE investments are not everything - it is purely lazy, unintelligent money that screws up our own fellow residents who one day would want to be able to buy a home to start their families.
4. if you are buying in a market like Calgary, be prepared to lose $30k-60k in future if you move out of the city due to job loss or in-search of better opportunities.
Wait are you in Canada right now? If so , you could just call IRCC yourself. I did, took me almost a year before my PR card arrived, and I was constantly calling them to follow up.Is it very common for an MP's office to ignore emails or phones for 2-3 weeks I sent my 3rd follow-up today (2 emails and 1 call).
