There will no longer be a pandemic, since they will basically no longer need votes. They will have 4 years to clear up the mess post pandemic.

Elections are confirmed to hold on September 20. Do you think they would want to extend border re-opening on Sept 7?

It'd be a serious mistake if they delayed the re-opening at this stage. The india ban extension was their last political move. Poor indians are paying for it.

Now that the election is called, I’m more confident the border will open September 7th. If they extend it, it will clearly show their planning failed, 2 weeks before voting.

I agree. At least in 2020 they made an announcement that FSW would be suspended before it was resumed in July
