which backlog are they supposed to clear before an all program draw happens? All (1,8M) or EE?I would be careful to say this. Remember we only see a fraction of people on this forum or fb groups I would not make a conclusion based on that.

Thats very true, But Maybe when IRCC updates the all famous *where we are with the processing in the pandemic* section for FSW we might get something conclusive out of itI would be careful to say this. I think the referred to the collective backlog ie the 1.8 millionwhich backlog are they supposed to clear before an all program draw happens? All (1,8M) or EE?
1.8M is actually the amount of people not applications this amount of people is actually in all programs.which backlog are they supposed to clear before an all program draw happens? All (1,8M) or EE?

They will actually do whatever was stated in the mandate letter and memo We could actually see this happening in the last few years. We just need to give them more time to clear the backlog and I think we will have a better picture of what is happening closer to March or even April...Thanks. Still trying to figure out when can we expect a draw waste of trying, they will do whatever they want to anyway
The cicnews post said they planned on cutting half express entry before draw, which was 100k at the time and was 80k end December. that’s why I’m hopeful it resumes mid February. There was quite a bit of PPRs November and December which will most likely only land this year, so they weren’t counted on the last update.Thanks. If they want people to land starting from 2023 January-February and at the same time reduce processing times to 6 months then logic says that draws (of any kind) need to start around May. Probably those five months are enough to clear a bigger chunk of the backlog. Still the future of fsw draws is unclearThe cicnews post said they planned on cutting half express entry before draw, which was 100k at the time and was 80k end December. that’s why I’m hopeful it resumes mid February. We will get more answers to it closer to April - I know that waiting is frustrating. If they want people to land starting from 2023 January-February and at the same time reduce processing times to 6 months then logic says that draws (of any kind) need to start around May. They have to do PNPs because of the agreements they have with provincesIt wouldn’t make sense if they hold express entry hostage due to backlog of other apps, because they only have control over express entry and parents and grandparents by holding draws when they choose. I believe everything else is you apply if you are eligible and on you go to the backlog. While PNP has draws, they have zero control over.
Exactly, so it’s another program they have no control over backlog. Just like spouses and refugees. It will keep increasing whether they want or not. So express entry should only wait for express entry backlog to reduce and nothing more. They need to have draws early this year, because they still need 30-40k people from CEC/FSW for this year’s quota. So either they hold FSW until May, or they hold CEC draws afterwards to meet the quota. They have to do PNPs because of the agreements they have with provinces
From what I dealt with ircc I will tell their logic.Atleast let us control what we can,and ee application and the others you can't even compare because we applications are tougher to process than others. It wouldn’t make sense if they hold express entry hostage due to backlog of other apps, because they only have control over express entry and parents and grandparents by holding draws when they choose. Some people are saying that their applications are as old as 2018 or 2019 - if this is the case then in my opinion there is something seriously wrong with it or they are more complex than the rest. Still though I have a good feeling that the processing time will be reduced this year. I know that people are frustrated etc but they cannot really "bash" them. It is not their fault. They are only doing whatever the government will tell them to do.From what I dealt with ircc I will tell their logic.Atleast let us control what we can,and ee application and the others you can't even compare because we applications are tougher to process than others.
I am not even concerned about application actually in process but the aproved ones which didn't get the pr and many straightforward applications also have issues(2018 may be but 2019 hmm) I don't know with what logic they work.Yeah that is my whole point JT and his nazi party sucks. Some people are saying that their applications are as old as 2018 or 2019 - if this is the case then in my opinion there is something seriously wrong with it or they are more complex than the rest.
