Great Sapana:). Welcome to this thread. I guess you will land well before us :) Good luck on your application. What stage are you exactly in now?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I received my AOR from Delhi on 4th Jan the letter is dated 16th Dec. So we are waiting for the medical request.
About landing well before you, I am not very sure as post 26th june applicants are getting preference in processing.

BTW has your husband done the educational assessment for equivalence for his arch. education?

Well, i don't think post Juners receive preference, but yes, they arrive @ the VO with a positive final determination of eligibility from the CIO. That means, the VO just have to do the background checks for us :). That accounts to the speedup of our process @ VO.

Yes, one member of our group has received a MR, PPR and RPRF request last Saturday :) from ND VO.

Nope, we have not started that process yet, but i've done a research on that :). It would take anywhere from 2 to 4 years to get registered, and you may have to attend college there ??? for that.

We are actually looking into the construction management side, as that is not regulated :) What are your plans?

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

I havent finalized that yet but I would like to work in Architecture.. I will first try to do that...

Hi Indira:
may i ask you another one?

well i have a past 4 year full time work experience under NOC 2151(architects) and currently since 6 months am working under NOC 1225(procurement officer).
my queries are:
Q1: Form imm0008_3e question 12 requires to write the order of preferences.obviously i will write 2151 as first preference and 1225 as the second. Is 1225 considereed under NOC category since it is not one of the 29 jobs currently required.i got the NOC code 1225 from the HRDC website.
Q2: will CIO consider my work experience years combined for 2151 and 1225 of only my prefered 2151?

thanks
Dyaan.

Right, so, Your 4 full years of experience as an Architect, is more than enough to fetch you the maximum points for work experience :P. Plus that's enough to satisfy the MI too.

For Q.12 on the imm0008_3e, you should indicate 2151 - Architect as the first preference, and 1225 as the second. Although it is meant for people with experience in more than 1 occupation included in the 29 list, nothing harm to include ALL the occupations you have experience in.

Even if CIC doesn't consider or count your experience in 1225, nothing is going to change, and you will still have the same points and pass the MI.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

For your education, you'll get 20 points and your Spouse's education, 4 points :). So, both of you are architects :o?

Thanks,

Great! So, let me put it like this.

Education : 20
Language : 12
Work : 21
Age : 10
Adaptability: 4

Unfortunately they do not give extra points for certificate courses. So, you will have to fetch at least 12 from the IELTS.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear Indira!

Hello Dyaan,

The answers :)

1. Well if they are not deceased yet, leave them blank:)
2. Yes, it's understood that you are working there(the latest one) to date. May be you can write on hand, to date too.
3. For this again, you need to indicate this in the appropriate question that asks about any of the government jobs you did, doesn't matter which country you worked for.
4. I suggest you to use Foxit Reader software, we had no trouble filling out and saving the forms too..

Good Luck :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
