Hi,

My husband is a Canadian Permanent Resident but not currently physically residing in Canada. I have applied for Express Entry (i am the primary and only applicant) and showed myself as Married, with a not accompanying spouse. In this case, for FSW requirements that pertain to the spouse's documents (even if he is not accompanying) I wanted some insights. Since he already has a PR, do I still need to get his police certificates, passport copies, birth certificate etc for my application, or just showing his PR card is fine because he has already gone through the entire clearance when he got his PR? Any clarification would be appreciated.

You don't need birth certificates anyway, and he doesn't need police certificates or medical exam. There is a place on the PR application that asks if your spouse is Canadian, so you would just say yes. You might need his PR documents and passport to prove it, and you can upload those in the letter of explanation part.
