Hi Qorax / all,

Just received my GCMS notes. From notes its confirmed that my file is received by CPP Ottawa from Buffalo on 7th July 2012. But Still no progress on my file. All fields has status as "Not Started".
I guess they haven't touched my file yet.
Any guess when i will hear something from them?
You can find my timeline on left. I am FSW1 - MI2 applicant.

will appreciate any views on this.

Dear Dr. Sherine

you are not alone. I also got the "medical received line" in the second week of June. I sent the requested documents early June.
I was also worried like you but after seeing the latest inventory data, i realized that the cairo VO is giving priority to MI1 and MI2 cases.
you should be fine, i guess you will be getting your PPR pretty soon.

Hi Qorax - PLEASE HELP!

Just saw a few posts re passport renewal during PR process.

We applied thru Bufallo and now got transferred to Ottawa. I got mine renewed in April 2012 as it was expiring Feb 2013 and wanted to make sure that it is valid for possible landing.
I couldnt find anything that we need to let the Visaoffice know about.

When getting PPR, can we send the new one and the old one? What would be the process.

Hi Guys

What should the letter from the employer state for arranged employment category? I am on open work permit and already working on a full time permanent position.

Also there is a question in one of the forms IMM008_3e (question 3) where it asks for your offer of employment. What am I supposed to click on Yes or No. I am on PGWP

I wanted to know what is the format of letters from your previous employers for applying under arranged employment?

In Feb-2012 ur file came out of the 'wait-queue' and started it's reprocessing. U should give it around 3-5 months to receive ur meds. I'd expect that anytime now... u r almost there my friend.

Dear Captain Qorax Thanks for helping us.................as u have predicted earlier in June that I will be out of que in Aug-Sept and will hear from LVO, last month I received Updated Doc request but no Med......... so what do u think when I will receive my Med? as I am MI 2 applicant.

I'm a newbie and would like to ask you why is it that I've been waiting for how many months now to receive my PPR? Before I continue, I want to share first my personal info.:

NOC: 3131 (FSW-MI3)
2nd AOR: Nov 3, 2011
Med Request: Nov. 30, 2011
Med's Done: Jan. 26, 2012 (1st)
Feb. 28, 2012 (2nd med' for my son)
Medical results have been received (ECAS): May 2012

Sir Qorax, they received my application on July,2011. I sent them an email on June,2012 to follow up my application and they told me "Your application is still queued for further review. No action is required from you at this time". After 4 months of waiting still PPR is yet to come. By Oct,2012 I sent them again another letter and they informed me "That my application is currently queued for review. Once the review is completed, you will be notified of any further instructions or requirements in writing".

What took them so long to review our applications? We're currently on our 15th month now. What is the validity of our visa if ever?

...there is a spelling mistake in my child's middle name in PR card...one letter is missing in middle name...
whom should we contact for correction of middle name in PR Card?
Will we have to return the PR Crad to CIO,Sydney, NS?

First I'd like to thank you for the helpful subject and efforts...

I need your advise regarding my below case;

I've been requested to undergo the medical check on the 3rd May 2012 which was done on 10th May 2012 in Cairo, Egypt.
It has been more than 5 months until now, however, I didn't receive any notification about the results or even any updates have been taken place to my e-case, however, there are other applicants who underwent their medical check in the same city 2 weeks later, have got their e-case updated and some of them have even received their visas.

I sent the visa office a query e-mail and their reply was “Our records show that the medical exam results have been for you and your family members. As for your file status, no precise timeframe can be given at this present time. Our office will get in contact with you regarding your case in due time.” That was on 20th August 2012.
I also knew that some requests to medical re-checks have been issued for those who did their medical check at same period.

Also, I had another old file in process, which i had sumbitted on Oct, 2006, if that could be a reason for delay... i don't know if i must withdraw that file or it has no effect on the new application...??

Do you think there's any issue with my Medical??? Why that delay occurred?? Could it be a security check as I travelled to some places before for short periods?? Even if, why my medical received hasn't appear in the e-case...

Kindly advise as I'm getting very worried..

to proof of fund I intend to send my Bank Statement( with passports) which is show that I have just deposited $25000cad and I also intend to attach a sold contract of my land(+my land ownership document before and after sold) to proof the source of my money . my inquire isه it sufficient for V.O that I have just deposit the money before 2 days only ? (this is the first time they ask me to proof of my fund )

I sent them enquiries with no reply during the last month,
