Thank you so much. Therefore, I do not need to worry about RPRF then.

Can I hope to get medical request by Oct this year? Any chance of getting PR by Dec?? Many folks got it in 6 months when applied within Canada this year.

Thank you.

I have an urgent question,
I was living in saudi arabia for 10 yrs, so I sent the police certificate from saudi arabia when they asked for it 3 months ago, by this time they told me that june 14 is the last day to receive it and I sent it may 4,
I have done the medical checkup in may and the medical received line appeared 28 th of june,
Today I received an e-mail from ottawa pilot office asking me for the saudi police certificates for me and my husband that I already sent
I don't know what exactly they want

If u have an answer to this problem, please help

Dear Qorax, I have sent you a PM...

I'm in need of your expert advise. We got our PPR, but then after 3 days or VO sent another message asking for an explanation about our accumulated fund.

We're living in Saudi for the 6 years now, and we just opened an account in our home country just recently, 2011, for the sake of our Canadian immigration application because our VO is in our home country. Then we deposited our POF.

After we got our medical results, we thought of withdrawing huge amount from the bank to return to our relatives, since part of our funds came from them as borrowed money. We plan to bring our POF from our "end of service award" upon resigning from our respective jobs-me and my husband, which I think would suffice to the required POF amount for 4 family members-including our 2 kids.

On the message states that we should explain the sources of our accumulated fund since the document in record is insufficient-Certification from the bank that we do have that amount as savings.

Now we are having hard time thinking what to do. Should we deposit again the required amount to our bank or just write a convincing, credible and detailed explanation of our accumulated fund?

We've given until end of this month to comply before they could make "decision made" on our application...we don't want to get refused in the end....
Actually our passports have been sent to our VO since we got the request on July 17...but they won't forward those to our VO until we're done with the last requirement...so they're on-hold..... :(

Please give us your expert opinion Qorax because we are running out of time, since next week would be an official holiday here in the middle east because of end of ramadan and offices will be closed for a week.

Please, please, please :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hi,

1. That sudden w/drawal & reDepositing sure have raised 'red-flags'... amounts to a windfall, which is not acceptable by CIC.
2. If u, currently, do not have the requisite funds in the a/c - that 'again' raises doubts.
3. Firstly, deposit the funds asap; then try writing ur IO that u've w/drawn it from ur KSA a/c & credited it into the Pakistani a/c.

Not a very viable option -- but that's what u could do best I guess.

Good luck.

Qorax
Ps.: BTW, who the heck told u to deplete ur funds abruptly? Didn't u know that maintaining the POF was a mandatory requirement?

This is the message from or VO. If you could give us the best idea what we could do with this case, please do so....it will be highly appreciated.

Dear Mr. xxx
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Subparagraph 76(1)(b)(i) of the Immigration and Refugee Protectio Regulations states that;
“the skilled worker must…have in the form of transferable and available funds, unencumbered by debts or other obligations, an amount equeal to half the minimum necessary income applicable in respect of the group of persons consisting of the skilled worker and their family members.”

A family of 4 must have at least CAD $20,654 in settlement funds. The words “settlement funds” refer to readily available money needed to cover the general cost of living in Canada during the search for employment. It excludes any financial obligation which may be met in the Philippines before departure and transportation costs to Canada.

Your Personal Net Worth Statement dated July 17, 2011 indicated total cash funds of PHP 955,548.82 or CAD $21,234.42. This is supported by a certificate from the xxxbank, xxxx, dated June 17, 2011. Although you presented funds that are more than the required amount for a family of 4, you did not provide a history of your bank account. I also noted that you and your spouse have been living in Saudi Arabia since 2006 but you opened a bank account in Manila.

The documents on file are insufficient to establish that you have adequate unencumbered funds for your establishment in Canada and therefore you may not meet the requirements described in Section 76 of the Regulations as stated above. Before a decision is made on whether you meet the requirements, you may respond with new information within forty-five (45) days to support that you have at least CAD $20,654 in settlement funds to take to Canada. Please ensure that you include a written explanation supported by verifiable documents pertaining to the source and history of accumulation of your funds in the Philippines.

Sincerely,
Federal Skilled Worker Unit
Immigration Section

Dear qorax,

Im here again, if you remember me im the one who asked guidance in filling up the details of military service with a username of argentina.

however i forgot my password so i made again another 1 which is my present username.

im pre june 2010 applicant
my mr is Aprl 2012
during the process of our medical, on May 3, 2012, a request from cem to comply for the "details of military service" for me and my spouse which we complied and submitted on May 15, 2012.

and our medical sent on May 14, 2012 also. medical results received added to my ecas on May 28, 2012.

our ppr received on June 20, 2012. and submitted our PP on June 25. recieved by cem on june 26, 2012.

now i observed that issuance of visa from ppr for pre-june applicants here in cem took only less than a month, there were lot of applicants
received ppr after us had already their visas , now my questions are:

1. Does applicants that have mil background has a different process compared to civilian applicant?
2 Since they already have our PPs, for our case when we expect our visa be issued?

Thanks you for your time.

Dear Qorax!

I applied MPNP under the strategic recruitment category to reduce the FSW applicants backlog. This is new category and i dont find much about these type of cases. I have sent the medical request to CPP=OTTAWA office, when should i expect to ask for passport from visa office. Please reply, because i find no other source to get information on this category.

Best regards

FSW-PR under 'fast track' System: All u need to know
...You may just not need a "Consultant" at all !!!

Dear friends,

We see the same query being repeated time-n-again... [1] How to Apply? [2] Where to apply? [3] Do we get a Consultant or go DIY? Etc. Thus, I thought of posting some aspects of it as a separate thread, as we keep responding to others infrequently.

Under the present 'fast track' system, the PR processing of FSW is quite 'simple & straight'. We actually don't need an 'agent', unless something is bothering us, viz. Problem cases, Previous rejections, Lack of time etc. Even under that duress, we can still do it ourselves. Today, for processing our FSW cases all we need is the awesome CIC website [which has a detailed Guide] & Forums like these.

Note that most consultants would just be rendering 'courier & typing' services. And when we need real 'consultancy' we'll find them lacking & unaccessible. Secondly, they are prone to delaying our cases. Thirdly, we'll yet be running into these Forums for getting your queries answered. It doesn't mean all are bad, but most are. And for just that is spending our hard-earned greenbacks on them justified? I feel "No".

Here's how we can go about it...

How do we send the Application?
Initially we send the Apps (+Processing Fees+some Docs [only]) to the CIO-NS, wherever we are, whatever be our CHC. Thereafter, once we get the AOR+120 days letter, we send the complete docs (+Copies of One Set of the 'original' apps+the RPRF*) to the local Visa Office (CHC). And wait for further instructions. For more info see below...

Instruction Guide [IMM EG7000]
For details & complete procedure on the above plz refer to the CIC Instruction Guide here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

Application Forms
The full set of application forms are given here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.PDF

FAQ Thread on this Forum
A very useful FAQ thread [on the subject] is available here [initiated by member 'maaties']:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/faq-t13225.0.html

The Process in a Nutshell
Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Eligibility Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >
Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Qualitative Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >
Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR** > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".

Timeframe for the 'entire' Process:
Let whatever the Consultants or their Adverts say. The total timeframe [from 1st application to case completion'] is 6-18 months. Avg. 12 months. Many get it within 8-10 months. This timeframe is not one CHC specific... it's for all CHCs. Unless there are 'red flags' in our case that delays the Background or Security Checks, most of us will 'compete' the process in 1yr.

*RPRF can be sent anytime during the process. However, it is good to send it early.
**Meds & PPR are sometimes clubbed together.

Notwithstanding the fact that there'd yet be ppl who'd find a Consultant quite handy. But overall, are we so naive today? Are we not 'internet-savvy? Can't we devote few days [taken Off from work] to read the guide & fill-out the forms? Aren't most of us asking questions here or answering? Then, where's the problem in avoiding a Consultant? Unless we are Ok with spending our $$$.
...

However, whether to go with a Consultant or DIY is surely a personal choice & that is debatable...
Qorax

I dont think who applied at Ottawa or Buffallo got Medicals or PR in 6 months, average time is between 15-24 months, however NewDelhi VO is the fastest and in my case I have received Medicals in 3 months

Actually, the fact is here too the application takes not more than 12 months for FSW2.
I have seen cases getting processed in 7 months.

I hope to get something in sept :)
