is there any thing else they may ask about??

I don't know on what context that was written... It's correct & might be suitable for a specific query of someone else. However, with your case we need to know what stage of processing u r in before we could comment/opine.

first of all, i recieved this email from visa office Cairo, Egypt...

Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Skilled Worker category.

In order to enable us to continue the processing of your application, please provide us with the following documents within 30 days:

- Updated Schedule 1 for all family members 18 and older;
- Updated police certificates from each country or territory where you or any of your family memebers have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18;
- Updated proof of funds to show sufficient funds for settlement in Canada. Please see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

If we do not hear from you within 30 days from the date of this email, your application will be refused and your file close.

-i filled schedule A by all updated information and i wrote "self employed" about my new work information because i quit my old job "restaurant manager" 2 years ago .... is that ok?

-i made a bank statement again and i made also a certificate from my bank, certified that my balance is sufficient by canadian dollar ... should i send both "the certificate and bank statement" or one is enough? why the visa office asked about proof of funds again?

-my balance was almost empty during the last year because i was use all my money for business but i had to deposit all the sufficient mony in last few days to make the bank statement.. is that ok??

1. That's Ok, unless u weren't originally eligible [1yr exp in the last 10yrs thing].
2 & 3. That could prove dangerous... CIC looks for consistency in POF. Just send the Bank Cert. now.
4. They also wanted new PCCs.
5. The foregoing is part of ur b/g checks... they'd now continue with it. That letter 'only' brought u out from the initial queue.

U should give it 6 months before u could hear something.

It is only given in canadavisa.com and not anyware including CIC web.
As you are from visa exempt country you need not worry.
You can carry on with your plan to visit Vancouver.
If the landing paper comes with out PPR you can get it forwarded to Canada or else you can go back to London and submit your Passport personally and collect it in 15 days time.

Thanks for your reply to my last post. I received an email today from the London VO asking me to submit my passport to get the PR visa stamp. I guess that means that the new procedure stated on the canadavisa.com site has not yet come in. So I'll be going to London to submit my passport on Thursday and will pick it up 2 weeks later before 'landing' in Canada on the 23rd

Thank you for the master thread. I have a quick question. I applied for permanent residency via FSW in August. My Visa office is Buffalo. I got an AOR from CIC Nov 2, 2011 (they received it August 5, 2011). I have been checking my status online, and it reads "in progress". According to the timeline the cic has on its website and yours, I should have "received by VISA office" first, but I haven't.
Here is from your original post:

So, am I just making too much of it? Does "In process" just means they have received it?
