Me and my wife had our interview at the Canadian Embassy yesterday. It was a very heart pounding experience since the interviewer was very rude on us. I wonder if all the consuls are like that or they were just trained to act like that para matakot yung mga ini-interview. Anyway, Did anyone here had the same experience? After the interview, She said she will be reviewing our documents and will be sending a decision thru mail within 2-3 weeks. Is this a bad sign? I'm thinking if she's gonna refuse our application, she should have told us right after the interview. Can you guys tell me your honest opinion about this. thanks :'(

as long as the consul was satisfied with your answer and if she saw that ur telling the truth, i think you will pass the interview. i mean, u hav all the documents and they are legitimate, ur marriage is legal..I hope that u will pass the interview.. Just pray.. hope for the best..

we had almost the same case. we were also asked to appear for interview. after the interview. the visa officer informed us that she is satisfied with the result of the interview and she will be sending medical request thru mail. i think when she said she will be sending a decision thru mail she meant the medical request. let's just hope and pray that medical request will arrive in 2-3 weeks.

hi... di naman siguro lahat ganun. i remember some forumers here who were called for interview had a very nice experience about the interviewer, they even got their medical request right after the interview... but i also heard some, that they experience the same thing as you did, much worst coz its an outright refusal them, they are not qualified from the very start of the interview... as long as you've been honest and truthful, then there's nothing to worry. don't get intimidated with the attitude of your interviewer... stay positive and your MR might be on its way to your doorstep... If i may ask, saan ba umikot yung mga tanong nung VO/interviewer or saan siya nag-focus? Anyways, if you were able to answer truthfully and honestly those questions thrown at you and have supported them with hard evidences, then I think you're able to convince her. Sometimes intimidation is one way of ferreting out the truth from a person and being rude probably is one of the techniques they employ. Let's hope that decision they will send in 2-3 weeks is a medical request! Cheer up bro and goodluck!

baka bad mood lang siya that day kaya medyo rude, but imo, if ul be refused e right away sinabi na niya. in pinoy 1028's case right away sinabi sa kanila nun clp niya na they're not eligible, kaya naiinis nga siya kasi inisched pa sila ng interview para lang sabihan nun to think that they even travelled all the way from davao...malamang medical request nga ung sinasabi niya na decision and besides you were able to present naman all docs and was able to convince them...

I can't really tell if we were able to convince the VO since iisa lang ang reaction nya from the start of the interview until it ended. She was very rude considering that she is a Filipina. The questions revolved on our relationship, when did we start living together, our definition of common-law relationship, why did we get married, etc. There were some discrepancies with our answer when she asked if how long have we been living together, May 2009 ang nilagay namin sa application since that's the time that we moved in to a residential house. Although we have been living together since December 2005 but renting a room lang. But she gave us back the application form and asked to change all the details na may corrections and let us sign at the last page of the application form. We were able to provide strong evidences like NSO marriage certificate, pictures, barangay clearance, everything na nakalkal namin sa baul. All of the evidences are legal and genuine. So there's no reason para isipin nyang hindi legitimate ang relationship namin. But she didn't say if she was satisfied with the result. All she said was "I will be reviewing your documents and make a decision within this week. I will be sending you the decision thru mail but with the kind of mailing system that we have here, It might take 2-3 weeks before you recieve it." since we're from Baguio City pa.

If she was gonna give us a refusal, why not thru e-mail nalang or say it right after the interview if she's doubtful. And why did she give our application form and let us put all the necessary corrections if she's gonna reject it lang naman. The interview lasted for almost an hour. hay! :'(

Do you think she's referring to the MR? in your case, how long did you receive your MR?

we are from cebu. we recieved MR 1 week and 3 days from the time we had our interview. were you able to provide proof that you were living together from dec 2005 like billings or letters for you and your partner sent to the same address? i think MR ang ipapadala niya kasi bakit pa sa snail mail kung rejection lang naman pala ang naging decision niya. let's just pray na MR will arrive soon.

If u really have presented substantial proof that your marriage with your present wife is legitimate and that d documents shown were genuine and not fraudulent, then I'm pretty sure u have nothing to worry about. Inconsistency in giving information happens because we're just humans. Syempre may mga lapses din ang memory natin at some point in time, but information on a legal document like the one from NSO never lie (unless of course doc is fabricated). Naging honest ka na naman about d inconsistency and you were given the chance to correct it and u did. Swerte mo nga kasi the VO were able to verify the inconsistency at that moment at binigyan ka ng chance to correct it! Yung ibang nabasa ko dito sa forum were given outright rejection sa application nila (without d benefit of interview anymore), because of glaring inconsistencies on the documents submitted.

At any rate, whatever happens, I believe you have a strong case. You can make an appeal should the outcome turn negative, but of course don't ever think about it because the likelihood is you will receive a medical request (MR)! Abangan mo na lang, in a week or two.. Keep d faith!
