Folks,

Could anyone explain whats the advantage if we have more points. Since 67 is the criteria, lets say if some have more points, does that add any value or weight?

There is no advantage to having more than 67 points.

If you have exact 67 points based on your own assessment (other than using spouse IELTS), then it will be wise to get those 5 extra points. This is in case CIC doesn't award you full points for some thing, especially work experience, which you are thinking you should get. Things happen.

But if you are already having a cushion of few points, then it will be just a waste of money and effort. Not exactly though, for she might use that IELTS report for doing something once you guys reach Canada.
