Dear friends,
I apologize if this post is too rudimentary.
I scored just 67 pts in FSW selection criteria. I will turn 39 in May, 2016 and that would bring down my FSW points to 66, subsequently making me ineligible for EE. My current EE ranking is 429.
So my question is: will I become ineligible for EE when I turn 39 and I will fall below of a pass mark 67?
Also, If I'd get OINP nomination and during the submitting process and my FSW score falls below 67, will it make my nomination void?
Thank you. Good luck all!

I guess it's time to get aggressive with provincial nominations. Don't just wait on Ontario, there are a couple of them out there that are willing to nominate you without job offers.

First of all try to increase your score before that which will keep you high enough to get ITA such as language test, work experience. In the mean while also try for some PNP's as well ...but start improving you language skills and if possible experience as well....so answer to your question is as long as your PR application is accepted and the application complete process is done then it doesnot matter if the app is under review for completeness and your points drop then you might be out of luck..By the way good luck..hope for the best :)

In EE, you still must be eligible for CEC, FSW or FST even after accepting a PT nomination.
If you can accept an ITA and submit an APR before your birthday, it is safe as there is a lock-in date when you submit your application. If your OINP application is already at their office, you should have a good chance.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I've already maxed- out in IELTS, L9, R8.5, W7, S8 and managed to hike my score from 368 to 429. Regarding the work experience, I chose NOC 4163 as a primary NOC, with 2+years experience, planing to apply for Saskatchewan Occupations in Demand category. That brings my FSW grid score to 67. In addition, I have 4+ years in experience in 0601 (corporate sales manager). If I change my primary NOC to 0601 that would bring my score to 69. Again, I chose NOC with less job experience hoping that it is more in demand than 0601. It's just an assumption.
Thanks.

If you are applying under FSW it doesn't matter the NOC experience as long as it comes under Skills 0,A or B , so go for longer work exp as it will award more points ...
Good luck.. :)

Thank you very much for your comment. I chose the 4163 over 0601 hoping that would have a greater chance of being selected. Good luck to you as well :)

Wow, I somehow missed the requirement of being above 67 points for FSW!
I thought the points are now calculated through the EE CRS, and those are the only points you have to worry about?
I mean, I know you have to be eligible for one of the programs to go through EE, but I thought "being eligible" meant, like, having the one year of Canadian experience for CEC, or skilled experience for FSW, and so on, not the points?

It all depends on different factors , programmes uunder you wish to apply and their different requirements such as:
In FSW it's important to have skilled work exp, education, age etc...in order to gain points (67 minimum) to be eligible
Where as in CEC the main thing is canadian exp of at least one year fulltime and for example education is not necessary for CEC although it can gain you extra points in EE.
So, in short you have to be eligible under EE and at the same time you should be eligible under one of the main canadian IMMI programmes.
hope that gives you enough idea...good luck.. :)

Thank you for the reply! I know what you mean, I just thought the FSW points were no longer relevant, replaced by the CRS points.
Just calculated my FSW points and luckily, I'm above 67. I almost had a heart attack))

Got OINP PT notification just in one day after re-submitting the EE profile! :)
Still, the thing I'm worried about is FSW 67 will go below pass mark on May 14, 2016. Need to act ASAP.

Also, is it possible to change NOC after PT notification is received? I received PT notification with NOC 4163 (market research analyst), which I have 2 years experience in, however, I also have NOC 0601 (corporate sales manager) 4+ years experience, using which would elevate FSW score to 69.

Please advise! Thank you and good luck, all!
