It's a good thing that there's a specific group for FSW Outland ;D
I already included my details in the spreadsheet.

Don't cancel your application. Wait because anything can happen.tomneversfield said:Guys I'm very mad at myself, and am facing a dilemma.
When I submitted my PR application in August, I selected NOC code 1123 (Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations). I didn't care to read the typical duties of that noc code, since I thought that NOC codes are no longer that important in the new Express Entry system (in my mind, they only mattered in the old system when there were quotas per NOC codes)
I have 10 years of Marketing experience and now I'm beating myself for not reading the main duties of NOC code 1123 before I submitted. Most of my experience is in the Marketing research field, and I now realize that my NOC code should have been 4163 (Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants). I had assumed that "professional occupations in marketing" covered Marketing research!
Of course I can't change the NOC code now, and I know i have a 60% chance of being rejected on the basis of wrong NOC code (saw many people getting rejected for that same reason). Instead of waiting 40-60 days to hear their decision, I'm thinking of just cutting it short and cancelling my application now, so that I re-join the pool soon (and hopefully get a new ITA soon). Another thought that came to me was to submit a Case Specific Inquiry explaining the confusion, but was advised not to do that since this would raise the possibility of rejection to 90% instead of 60%.
I'm mentally prepared for a rejection, and I won't play the victim card as I know this was purely my fault. I just hate the process of 'waiting for a rejection'.
What do you guys think I should do? Do you know if I can cancel my application to re-join the pool, or do I have to wait for them to reject me?
Yeah I would wait too. Based on the timelines you should receive some news in a few days. It is doubtful that there will be another draw soon so, might as well wait it out IMOAnya654 said:Don't cancel your application. Wait because anything can happen.
Maybe you could create another EE profile afresh ( but do mention this application number) and enter the pool, if you get rejected before the next draw then u'll be glad of the new opportunity, if you get the ITA before rejection you will still have 60 days to wait for rejection (if it comes) and then reapply with the fresh ITA, that way you wont waste any time....tomneversfield said:Guys I'm very mad at myself, and am facing a dilemma.

That's actually a good idea! I'll look into it, thank you! I'm not sure if they'll allow me to enter the pool again while my PR application is in progress, but I'll give it a shot.indianaspirant said:Maybe you could create another EE profile afresh ( but do mention this application number) and enter the pool, if you get rejected before the next draw then u'll be glad of the new opportunity, if you get the ITA before rejection you will still have 60 days to wait for rejection (if it comes) and then reapply with the fresh ITA, that way you wont waste any time....
