Hunch. Supported by old forum posts advising against doing this.yelena said:actualy I was just thinking the same thing.. other than our own details, we are not concealing their code names..
I think you might be right ..
Btw., have you heard anything about this that might cause concearn or is it just a hunch (like mine) ?
Hang on bro... Never lose hopewillpower7 said:Hey guys
I had done a CSE to check what was happening on my application as there is no update frm CIC.
This is the answer i got frm them.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.
Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.
So according to their reply it seems that my processing time will fall outside their stipulated 6 months period.
The wait continues.... Sigh!!!!
Thank you for the encouragement Casoard. Haven't lost any hope, I'm very optimistic that things will work out well. The only thing is the wait that is killing...u guess patience is the key.casoard said:Hang on bro... Never lose hope
They "only" want to verify some more things. It is not a refusal.
Keep the faith, even if it is hard because you've reached the 6 months.
And if the wait is too long don't forget us, we will be happy to give you moral support and bring it up.
Don't worry , everything will be fine.
Agreed. Edited the post to conceal officer codes. Thanks for the adviceAsivad Anac said:Try and keep this conversation on PMs. I'm still looking for the source of this information but I'm fairly certain that sharing details from GCMS notes in public, including anything that might reveal the officer involved, isn't the best idea.
Thanks for sharing the GCMS notes. It gives a useful insight on the workings of CIC.tomneversfield said:As promised, I'm sharing my GCMS notes that I just received. I had ordered it just 2 or 3 days before I got my PPR.
It is clear and confirmed now that for FSW outlands, when BG goes into progress it means that the file is ready for visa (FRV)
There are two notes that were added on 11/25 (the day my BG went into progress), and on 11/26... Both notes are pasted below
Interestingly, they checked company website to verify it's real..
There was a due date mentioned:

Thanks, ConnieD. Of course I am really happy for reaching the end of the process, but VFS loosing documents is unacceptable!ConnieD said:Jorge, I understand your pissed of, but take it easy, you've got PPR granted, it's just formality now.
I know it's really annoying and you've got the right to be mad, specially because the hole ppr process is frustrating and exhausting, but try to keep cool and plan your moving to Canada!jorgecmb said:Thanks, ConnieD. Thats shoddy work done by VFS. Expected them to be much careful while handling documents for an important process like this.jorgecmb said:Hi guys, I have to report the most outrageous thing that happened to me today. But first, a little background on my application: I'm a Aug 13th AOR who got PPR on Jan 8th and sent my passport to Sao Paulo VO on the 11th. 5 days later, VFS contacted me to say there were a few documents missing, one of them the VFS consent form signed by my spouse (I only sent one, signed by me).
I sent them the documents last Monday and today I got a call from a very nice guy from the Consulate General of Canada in Sao Paulo saying that he couldn't finalize my application because our 5x7 photos were missing. I confirmed him that I'd sent two pictures for each applicant just as told by the PPR letter and he told me that probably they got lost in the process, but that I could send new photos directly to him and I wouldn't be held responsible for the missing photos.
Of course that I did exactly he said, but I am pissed with VFS!! They charge 30 dollars per applicant just to receive the documents and forward them to the VO and they loose part of it in the process? That's just unbelievable!! I called VFS and they couldn't answer what happened exactly, but the agent promised me to look into it and contact me later.
That's the name of the company. I'm this case, they securely transmit the passport to the embassy, get it stamped and send it back to you.tomneversfield said:I'm sorry but what does vfs stand for?
