@yewwy @gurik @Hirencool - thanks guys for your response... So i'm thinking i will email CIC next week to know my visa office as my doc status changed only yesterday. That gives them few days in case file not transferred yet. By the way does all file get transferred from CIO Sydney to NDVO or do ppl see it getting transferred to Blore and Chandigarh also? if yes, which office is better of the lot?

We will send you a message when we start your background check
Okay. So you are at Ip1 right now, and you have uploaded the PCC just a week back. Cic will acknowledge the receipt of this doc in another week or so and than you can expect the BG to change to NA.

Its only your luck post that, if your file moves to Ottawa or LVO. If you have had a previous visa rejection, chances of moving to a LVO are high. So just calm down for now and pray that your file moves to Ottawa for speedy processing.

which visa office is handling your file?

New Delhi i think. Below mail i received today

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and are pleased to inform you that everything appears to be in order with your application. It is still within the regular processing times.

Furthermore, we can confirm that your file is currently located at a visa office outside Canada.

Because of the specific nature of your enquiry, we invite you to contact them directly in order to:

  • Report important changes,
  • Provide documents,
  • Obtain information regarding the status of your application, or
  • Enquire on an outcome to a request.

Hi Gurik,

Thank you so much for the detailed response. I was also reading through the NDVO thread and got a little disappointed seeing that it is really slow in processing applications and people with April AOR are still waiting. Looks like I have to be mentally prepared to wait the full 6 months!

Hi Scorpman21,

How do they acknowledge the receipt of PCC. I did not get any acknowledgement after I uploaded the PCC on September 4. And my BG status has also not changed to NA. Still says we will let you know when we start the background check.

Thank you.

Ohhh @Scorpman21 I think I missed reading about previous visa rejection being reason to send to LVO!!

My husband has student permit rejection from UK some 12-13 yrs back. He went via campus abroad and they messed it up once. Then he himself did it. Missed some documents and was rejected. So twice rejection but later he got the student permit, qualified for post graduate work permit and extension of pgwp. So I am hoping only scrutiny will be more coz of the rejections right? Thereby delay. Otherwise there wouldn't be any issues?

IP2 Today! Updating timeline.

AOR - July 30th
Meds Passed - August 11th
IP1 - August 11th (12 days after AOR)
NA - September 26th (46 days after IP1)
IP2 - September 28th (2 days after NA)

I tried to find this info but didn´t see any conclusive answer. Anyone knows what normally happens during each phase? In IP2 is only the security check missing or the eligibility and criminality checks might not still be finished?
