Hi, I have working experience of 3 years as a Financial Accountant in a firm in Lahore, Pakistan. My salary is not taxable. I get salary in cash. It is not transferred to my Bank Account. I can provide salary slips and experience letter of my firm. Is that sufficient to satisfy the Embassy regarding work experience?

Yes, sufficient. Prepare reference letter as required by the CIC.

Additional docs changed from being reviewed to not needed and have changed once again a couple of weeks ago to Additional Docs provided are being reviewed..

URGENT: Request from CIC.
I got a request for notarized document from CIC in my account. It is a two page pdf. The first page is letter by CIC asking to confirm some information. It mentions that I acknowledge the contents of the first page and on page two I have to sign and notarize.
Now, this would work perfectly in North America where the Notary Public would notarize such letter.
However, in India, I am not sure if the Notary Public would notarize a document that is not on a Stamp paper.
Any idea how to get this done in a way acceptable to CIC?
I would really appreciate any input, especially from seasoned members: , @Hiyer, @PDChicago, @gurik, @Lakhanpal.saurabh, @Cynicalmonk.

From what you say it sounds more like the document being similar to an affidavit.. That being the case its likely that a public notary will attest it.. you will need to approach one of the Public Notary and see how this exactly..Also try writing to CIC and / or NDVO and see if you get a reply.. there will also be agencies like yourmaninindia.com etc..who may get this done.. I am based in UAE and have got a couple of attestations done through them in the past

Went to the Notary Public, explained what I needed, he did it no questions asked. My concern was baseless. They seem to do it all the time.
Anyway, thanks for the information. :)

Are you FSW or CEC.. and where are you based..Happy to note that your case is progressing.. All the best and hope you get to hear the good news soon

Spoke to the helpline a few days ago. The agent was very supportive. Said that all my paperwork seemed ok. After initial processing at the CIO, the papers were sent to NDVO. It's been over a month since NDVO opened my file. I've sent them 3 emails till now but no response. I've emailed Ottawa who forwarded my email to NDVO. So it's just wait and watch. My GCMS notes have also not come.
