Okay the question which is bothering me is what is the meaning of application approved? Approved here means actually approved and no more action needed (other than PPR)? or it means something else i.e. they are doing something more with the application.

Only PPR mail!

I am also on the side of the applicants waiting for the PPR. But, sometime destiny plays its own role. During the childhood, we all understand, how some teachers used to give marks, lenient vs strict teachers, auditors - some are easy and some are micro......that is where we dont have the control and we leave this in the hand of god.
We can leave it to God only if we do our part! God will not act if we dont. I understand that processing times are different for everyone (although even that's not fair), but I really dont understand how can approved applications collect dust for almost 2 months. Im just not im the mood of waiting an auto-generated e-mail for 2 months. If more people reacted to this treatment maybe we wouldnt be here now. And IRCC is not perfect as they make mistakes often and sometimes applicants notice their mistakes in GCMS notes and avoid rejection by reacting quickly! Therefore I agree with you, its in Gods hands, with a strong presumption we did our part - we reacted!

I enquired about my visa office in which my file is being processed and got reply my application is approved, but after knowing this my lawyer got upset and told me i shouldnt have enquired we should wait till 6months. Its too early to contact cic, will this create any problem? I am feeling anxious! :(
Even my consultant told the same thing, not to contact Cic before 6 months. I sent them an email on the 19th of last month and status changed to IP2 on the 22nd :D

Bingo. Totally with your thought that approved application should be logically closed at the earliest possible time....not in reasonable limits. Why to ask the applicant to wait for the batch over batch? Not fair.

Very well said! As the age old saying goes "God help those who help themselves".
CIC is very much infamous for its huge blunders as well, far from perfect indeed.

They are in a way being cruel to some of us  Just read on the immitracker of an applicant who was on IP2(May AOR)and got rejected due to the NOC responsibilities not matching.

Got me biting my nails all over!
I highly recommend everyone not to make any assumptions on your IP1/2 NA status.
My case went into IP2 on Jun 9, the day my medical passed.
According to my GCMS notes, they didn't read the details of my employment reference until Jun 22.
LITERALLY, IP2 means nothing.
CIC is proven to be unpredictable.

It's only IP1 after your medical passed. It takes a few weeks later to turn into IP2.

Are you sure about it? Is there anh chance of employmnt verification after approval email? I saw they use a general format for approval mail, .
Approval is approval, nothing more needed!
