Good morning all. I think you might remember I mentioned I have a few friends stuck in London Visa office. One contacted LVO and they gave the feedback below:

LVO is currently giving priority to Study permit applications at the moment. If your application is way less than six months, I doubt you will be prioritized at the moment.

I wonder if this explains the slow pace of files for some visa office beyond just the summer holidays which I find less plausible. I doubt any organisation allows mass Leave at any given period, especially when work load is severe.

Day 73, Yet to get an update on Visa office. Will send an email enquiry on the 7th of August. Day 34 on IP1. I dare you guys to find someone that has had a longer IP1 stay

My brother, This your daring sounds like a joke or let me think to say I did not understand you. You are day 34 on IP1 and 73 on AOR and you dare us to find people with longer timelines? I know you are joking, but for avoidance of doubt, there are many with AOR over 100 days and IP1 approaching 100 days or even past 100 days too and they are still waiting.

Every case is unique. your ppr might arrive at its own appointed time. So just relax and believe. And yes to your dare, see timelines of chats above.

I have hired an immigration consultant, so don't have access to my application.
Can anyone suggest if I can send email to cic to inquire about my VO ,??

STOP THE ANXIETY AND START PREPARING FOR LIFE IN CANADA

Last week, I was on "visa office" and "status delay" apprehension and let these thoughts take the best of me. I guess it was my one time human weakness. Thank God there were people who raised me up from that status.

Even though it is difficult to deal with the anxiety that CIC gives to us, how many of us have had our processes move faster because of these anxieties or even CALLING and MAILING CIC?
Word of Advice: We must all manage your worries and relax. IP2 or PPR are not the prize that we look for. They are just the encouragement to keep moving forward. The prize is still ahead. The prize will be determined and won by how well we settle ourselves and family in our new home Canada. Let us convert this anxiety energy into planning towards settling down eg in acquiring skills, job search, Finding out from your professional body in Canada what certificates/licences you would need to operate fully there, tidying up your local home front, making up and spending some time with loved ones you might not be seeing for some time, etc etc.

Remember, no two applications are same. So for me I have chosen to stop ranting about VOs, IP2, and PPRs, and will concentrate the energy on things that I have control over, which is getting prepared. Is it a tough decision, yes It is tough, but what we do with the time matters. It has been said that after PPR, time flies. so my people, let us stop worrying and start acting pro-actively. My thoughts and advice.

I wish us all a great Canada experience.

You can if you have the following information:
Application number, UCI Number
I have hired an immigration consultant, so don't have access to my application.
Can anyone suggest if I can send email to cic to inquire about my VO ,??

In my opinion this information is only spam.
I second your opinion. Since when agents started getting inside information?

I emailed to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca couple of days back. They replied me the following email:
Dear Sir/Madam,
Please note that your application is currently at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia and has not yet been transferred to a local visa office.
Please submit any inquiries via our web form and your inquiry will be redirected to the correct office.

Regards,

What can be presumed from this? I am stuck with BGS--NA since 23 June.

@KaZUcHen thats the spirit! Just a comment: actually some people did succeed to speed up their application processing with calling or mailing, it is our right to know whats happening and sometimes CIC does make mistakes so.. I have a feeling I ve done all the preparation I could at this point and without PPR cant do anything much but we'll get there

Guys in the red please get back in the green/yellow, thank you!

Hey, this graph helps :) I hit the anxiety/panic/anger slope and try to bring myself back to "optimum" by remembering that though the average time is 5 days but it may take upto 16 days from IP 2 to PPR.

Hi beautiful people of this thread! (Just trying to inject more sunshine here :p)

Submitted my passport last Friday. Got another generic email just now that my application has been updated. I logged straight onto my CIC account and found:

1. On Document status:
my name and that of my spouse with our UCIs, documents ("counterfoil") with document numbers, status of "Your document is valid" and an expiry date (I guess that date will be on our COPR as well?)

2. On Application status:
Application status : A final decision has been made. Please see the final decision below. this is new
Review of eligibility : Your eligibility has been reviewed. Please see the final decision below. this is new
Review of additional documents : The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes
Biometrics : If we need your biometrics, we will send you a message in your account telling you how to submit biometrics.
Background check : Your background check was completed. this is new
Final decision : Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details. this is new

So I guess this means that my passport has left the hands of vfs Manila and is now stamped at the Embassy?

I'm still rain dancing for more golden emails and good news for everyone, by the way. :p
