Guys, I am still on vacation so been on and off on the forum. I just read through 200 messages to catch up on all the messages on this thread.

Congrats to everyone of you got PPR!!!

Update from my end - I am on day 107 and still on NA. I wrote to Ottawa over the weekend to find out if I am still stuck in CIO Sydney and I got this reply...

Our office has now concluded its part in the processing of your application and your file has been transferred to the Visa Office in London.

Please submit any inquiries via our web form and your inquiry will be redirected to this visa office.

I am still on NA but now that have transferred my file to the London Visa office. I guess this is done for load distribution. I am on still on NA so that means that my eligibility is probably still not done. Any idea on London Office? Is it fast? Slow? Looks like my PPR will come from the London office.

Thoughts?

Frankly, John, your file has just been moved from the morgue to the cemetery. London Visa office is the slowest. I have a couple of friends AOR Feb and Mar just moving into IP2 last week.

Hahahha. Good to know so atleast I know I can forget about this for the next few months and worry about this around the 6 months mark!

There are two kinds of people on this thread. The Ottawa ones taking a super sonic jet to Canada. And then folks like me who have to hitchhike all the way to Canada! I cant help but just laugh at my plight! :D

Not cool at all. After this much time, why not share load with a visa office that actually processes applications in reasonable time. I got spooked enough regarding my lack of movement to order notes. Need to know what is going on with my file, if anything at all. 28 days on IP1 is a hell of a long time.

Hang in there @johnsyk and everyone still waiting! #keepfaith

Maybe London Visa office has gotten extra resources and things will speed up. Cos no sense in sending files to a visa office that looks burdened already. several months back Ottawa couldn't touch LVO in terms of speed, then it all went down hill. Maybe it will pick up again.

Did you send an email to Sydney directly? If yes, Please share the email address you used. I have this nagging feeling your application progress will be a similar one to mine.

Look on the bright side, you started this thread and a captain is always last to leave the ship. You have a few crew mates still stuck on deck sir.

Crew mates of John hands up!

I think I am rickshawing all the way to Canada.

No I did not mail Sydney. The only guys who promptly reply is Ottawa. I mailed Ottawa and they sent me this email. I sent it in the standard format which is there on this thread.

Haha. Yes. This is your captain speaking. All you freaks still on the rotting ship, put your hands up! :D:D

Your AOR is 40 days after mine. So yes, at least you are on rickshaw. I am freaking walking most of the way! :D

I got my AOR 4th April,
my BG is NA as well,
Medical passed 7th June,
I'm in India tho, I think some applications need to go through some additional checks & that is why it takes a while for them to process the application.

It doesn't matter where you are based in. A lot of Indian applications here are done in Ottawa. They allot it based on load sharing. There are UAE applications done in Ottawa too and they are the ones who got PPR in 60 days on the tracker. I think it all comes down to the VO office. How do they even do a check if they haven't even gotten to your file! My file spent 100 days in CIO and all they did was pass my R10 and Criminality.

You are most likely - 99% in CIO sydney. it might go to New Delhi after that or it has probably already moved to New Delhi. None of this is currently as fast as the ones fully processed in Ottawa.

My status changed to IP2 on 22nd and this is the current status

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

So assuming I clear whatever checks they are doing, will the status change to NA or will i get proverbial golden email directly?
