Hello everyone,

I have Finallyyyyyyyyyyyy got the Approved status on my application!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to collect the stamped PP tomorrow.

I can finally believe this miracle now!!!! Oh what a journey it has been….. I am so thankful to Almighty for all the blessings showered on me in these past few days!!


This forum was my waiting for PR family sort of. The stuff I could share here, no one would have entertained much rather understand. You guys have been through all the lows and ups I went through, supported me, listened to the rants, encouraged on bad days, advised the best ever when needed. This forum was my strong support, I was never scared of any problems as I knew all I need to do was post it here and I will get the best advice ever!!!


This is a great place, I am so attached to all you people. For real, I actually talk about you guys like a normal friend sometimes (especially you @astralsource). I will be sitting and talking to my family/friends like, “oh yeah @comfortablynumb got his PPR today, or like ohhh @KiranK is hilarious” They will be like WTF, then I go oh this is that person on the forum and blah blah!!! I have the “are you crazy look” then


Anyway I can write a lot and waste space, but like once I said in Ray of hope 55, this is an amazing place, where people from all places of the world irrespective of their background, ethnicity, come together and help each other and spread hope, positivity all around. It makes me believe that kindness still exists in masses.

I just want to quote someone else's post on I read on Quora other day and i think it's apt for everyone on this forum. It was a real life experience of a new immigrant. He landed last year in winter and a few days after his landing... it was snowing in Toronto. He had a friend drop him somewhere and as it started snowing, he wanted to go back home. He was standing at the bus stand waiting for a bus in the heavy blizzard. Just when the bus came, he put his hand into his pocket to take out his TTC card and he realized that he forgot his card at home. The Bus stopped and the door opened. He told the bus conductor to carry on since he forgot this card. The bus driver waved him to come in. And when he stepped in, the bus driver said "Our country might be cold, but our hearts are warm. I am not leaving you in the cold".

The story moved me and it is people like you and everyone else in this forum that will continue to bring warmth to this great nation. All the best @gurik. Please continue to spread that warmth!

Guys, my document status was - Your additional documents are uploaded. This is for CSE I had raised and which they attached to my profile last week.

Today morning it changed to - We do not require additional documents.

At Least some movement!!

I got an email from Ottawa which says:

Dear Sir/Madam,
Our office has now concluded its part in the processing of your application and your file has been transferred to the Visa Office in London.
Please submit any inquiries via our web form and your inquiry will be redirected to this visa office.

My file was at CIO Sydney last week according to an email i got then. I spoke to an agent on Monday who said my file was being reviewed at CPC Ottawa. The ADR status then changed to 'We do not need additional docs blah blah' on Wednesday. Since my file has passed through CIO Sydney, CPC Ottawa and now at London VO, can i conclude that eligibility has passed?

My AOR is April 3 and BG has been stuck at NA2 since June 7.

Yes your Eligibility has passed for sure. You are in IP2. I am sure it will change soon in your profile! Congrats!

Seniors - To confirm i only need to carry my Passport along with fee and two photographs rest will be taken care of by VFS,also how long it takes for the PP to be ready for collection?

Today the status changed from "we are reviewing additional documents" to "we don't need additional documents". Every thing else remains the same (medical passed, BCG = NA, reviewing your application etc)
What does this mean?

You have been very patient dear, you have earned every right to curse CIC to bits now, bloody 22 days is a lot of time. i do hope you have ordered GCMS notes. Might shed some light on what is happening,,,,

HAha. At 22 days in IP1 you curse. At 38 days, you become numb!

@johnsyk thought I'd let you know, since we are AOR-buddies from the UAE, that I got my GCMS notes today, and my case was processed at Ottawa. Reason stated as load redistribution. Do you know which VO your application is at?

@skepchick mine was under process at CIO Sydney when I checked on Monday. However I had a "Not additional document required" change today morning. I shall wait for a week. I already mailed them twice, ordered GCMS notes and called them twice. So for now, I am taking a time out and not contacting them anymore!

Guys, i got this reply from cic in return for asking my VO.

Please be advised that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

What does the above mean? It is in Ottawa and what else?

Yeah, I read your post about the rather abrupt manner in which your call was handled, so unlike what others have reported. Ouch.

Sydney sucks though, but I bet PPR is right around the corner with your no additional docs status - CIC have recently been using this as some kind of indicator of file movement. I had the same change for docs status, then IP2, and then PPR, all within two days of each other. Good luck on your journey!

Thank you @skepchick !! Congrats on your PPR again!! I hope I move to IP2 soon! I want to know if anyone has any info about "No additional doc status" and its connection with moving to IP2.

I also got my PPR email today!!

So, one doubt is can I alone submit my passport and my dependents passport at VFS or is it compulsory that both of us go in person to submit the passport @VFS?

Med Pass- 21st June
BG- NA 22nd June
BG - IP 23rd Jun
BG - NA 29th Jun
BG- IP2 16th July
Additional Documents : NR - 16th July
PPR - 21st July

Landing next month, got a job as well..
