I believe that processing times depend a lot on country of residency

I will just wait it out. In all fairness, it's only 3 months and their commitment to deliver is 6 months. I will get my notes on 1st August but I don't expect to see anything new on there since they clearly told me that my eligibility isnt done! I will just wait it out for another 30 days ...and worry about it around day 120!

Ok guys, here is an update from my end. First piece of advice, try and avoid calling them. I don't think they like it very much. Technically, it's a call center and its not that we are disturbing any VO officer and they are bound to answer a query but going by my experience today, I don't think it works that way!

So I call them up since I am on day 98 and I am still on NA and get this agent on the phone and the first thing this curt, borderline rude agent asks me is when I called last? I said i called about 3 weeks back. He asked me, what I was told last time? I said I was told my application is in background check. He then verifies my name, phone number and email and then asks me what I want to know? I said, I want to know the status of my application and if I have passed eligibility.

  • He puts me on hold and then comes back after a minute and says my criminality and medical has passed.
  • They are yet to do my eligibility and security.

So I was like, its day 98 and would you know why its delayed so much? He doesnt know.
I asked him which visa office is my case being processed? He says its at CIO Sydney.

I asked him, wow, its day 98. Will it take a long time then at this pace?
Killer Answer in Rude and Curt manner - Yes, it will take a long time!

Gulp.

I think I am going to forget about this and no more calls! Let it come when it has to come!
I tried calling this morning but I couldn't get through after trying like twice. I got the automated message of the status of my application. I have sent another email to find out the status. I have a feeling some updates will come this week. Let us hang in there. I share your frustrations. It will come soon.

when you say Ghost email - do you mean meds passed? I have also submitted on 25th May.. 30-June-Meds passed 3-July IP1 and 7-July - NA and its there ...hoping something will happen by end of this month with good hopes :)

No, I just got an email from cic saying that your profile has been updated. But no changes to the profile when we opened the account. It worried me for a while, then I read on the forum that it's called Ghost email. Medicals not passed yet. day 54 after AOR

That's the spirit dude. Don't worry and don't compare to anyone else. There is nothing we can do but wait. ;)

Honestly, I think for many of us here, the timeline isn't the issue. If I know I'm surely gonna get a PPR, I personally don't care even if it takes 8 months. It's the fear of rejection that's the worry! It's no fun getting rejected after day 120 and starting all over again!
