If you can login to CIC, you can check the status there.
Or if you know your express entry profile number you can order GCMS Notes. there are multiple ways to get gcms. this is one of the cheapest applygcms.com

Thanks for the suggestion Girish979...appreciate that

Hi vabs200, so you do not have access to myCIC?? What number do you dial for the IRCC IVR, and do they provide full statuses like Meds, BGC etc?? Thanks.

I do not have login details for MyCIC account as it is controlled by my consultants. So, what I do is dial this number 00 1 (613) 944 4000 and follow the instructions. They system will give you the exact details on your application status, the same as what you get to read when you log in to your account. It includes everything including Meds, BGC, Additional Documents etc.

Thank you @vabs200.

PS: My friend is asking is it ok to call 2-3 times a day (for the automated message), would it bring about a bad impression??

Since you are not speaking to a person and just a machine, it should not be a problem calling several times in a day. Will just create a bad impression on your wallet if you're calling from outside Canada :p
