Sounds great! I don't know anyone in Canada. So, I will have to do some research on accommodation and job prospects post the approval of my PR application. Once everything is sorted out, I will head there. Will keep you posted on the developments.

Plus we all here on this forum also to discuss post landing stuff

Indeed @SJR_Spencer. That is what I am hoping to see for most of the applicants who got AOR in the first week of May or before May.

That is a good piece of advice @gurik. I guess I will get on with it while the wait is on. I look forward to learning from the experiences of those who have either already landed or are likely to land there soon Would there be a different thread for such discussions? Actually both @Liksion. If your AOR date is in the first week of May or before and your BGC status has changed to IP2, only then can you expect to see PPR mail this Friday.

It is highly likely then that you might get to see the mail you have been eagerly waiting for. However, this could get delayed till next week too. Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best

I received a reply from cpc ottawa email application status email.I got below reply now.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your application was received is currently in queue for review by an officer. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application.

What does the above mean? It is in Ottawa and what else?

Like they say " Every person is crazy in one way or the other". I am also nuts about a couple of things which might look normal to the rest of the group.

P.S: Check your email first thing on Saturday Morning. I guess, hope and pray that you have the PPR before 9 am IST.

My current status is as follows:
Application Status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes
Background Checks We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final Decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

The background check status was updated on 18th July. Am in IP1 or IP2? If IP2, what would be the estimate time to get PPR?

Received this email as astralsource did, also emailing Ottawa triggered my IP2, so thanks for the tip guys it really works also I emailed them yesterday and today they replied back, seems they are eager now as well. Will keep you great guys posted on future developments, good luck guys.

IP2 can last and last and last, up to 2 weeks I guess.

IP1 can also last and last and last up to 22 days.

Definitely IP2, as for the time to PPR you are welcome aboard the waiting boat
