ash_1967, as per books, they are closed on Friday, December 25, 2009 and Friday, January 1, 2010. They are working on Dec 28, Dec 29, Dec 30 and Dec 31 but, things should be crawling dead slow as most of them must be using vacations for a get-away. If 10 applications are processed on a regular day, you would probably see only 2 or 3 applications processed on these days. You can see this pattern to continue until atleast December 7, 2010. Things should be normal after that. I have a feeling that 99% of October applicants should be processed by January 7, 2010. Hope this helps.

Have any body any idea about lock-in-date for IELTS? My ielts is being expired on 15th of Jan-10. If I don't get my AOR then what would be happen? would I appear in Ielts again or its already been locked at the time when I applied to NS Sydney for initial approval or It would have locked when one send their docs to vida office.

My ielts expired on 06 dec09, app received by cio on 25 nov09. Is it lock in date???or i need to retake when i wll send full docs???

One more thing,i have thoroughly read op6 & eg7 but i didnt find about ielts lock in date whether it is from CIO or not..

Dear Ripon243,
I have read in Checklist of Visa office their they demand original certificate of IELTS wheh one send full docs to Visa office. But in below link Senior Member i.e. PMM and Rupeshhari are saying they lock in date is when intitial application received by NS, means to say when one send their initial docs to NS it should not be old more than one year. Kindly understand and revert.

there's nothing we can do but to retake our ielts.
mine will expire JUNE 2010.
but since it is already 1 year old,
then there's no way i can't get rid of the fact that i need to pass it again...

just to keep things safe...
rather than us getting no points for language...

by the way, i'm planning to sched myself for the exam early/mid january
so by february, i can already submit full documents.
take advantage of the holiday break to prepare and review for the exam...
don't despair... i know things will work out fine...
