I am an FSW-O primary applicant with AOR July 31st 2018. My wife has just received a job offer from a renowned Canadian university.
Can she apply for a work permit for herself while our PR application is being processed? Is there anything we need to be careful about? Any possibility that our TRV be refused since we are PR applicants (no intention to leave Canada afterwards)?
I understand that I have to report this to CIC immediately. Will this improve the processing of my FSW PR application?? Is it a good idea to withdraw the PR, get the work permits+TRVs, go to Canada and apply again as FSW-Inland?
My file will most likely be transferred to London visa office where avg. processing time for FSW is 8+ months. Her contract has a specific start date, so waiting for the PR may not be a wise idea.
